My first drive ever in a tesla was this weekend. I used fsd 12.3.4. Drove from san diego to los angeles with no intervention. Best technology for the stop and go traffic. Freed up my time to do other productive tasks. Im a believer!

I’m a Tesla with FSD owner. I’ve been a user for two years now. FSD is, now, an awesome application, but I do not expect $TSLA to do anything until the revenue from FSD and or Robotaxi starts hitting the bottom line.
Uber has already squeezed every dollar they can from their business model. The only way they increase the value of Uber is to increase the price of rides. Robotaxi models show they can be profitable at 30¢ a mile at high scale. If they start at 90¢ a mile they would already be undercutting Uber in price and can keep reducing the price as they scale up while being profitable.

I agree with Larry that some analysts are finally started to include FSD but with a huge caveat - Tesla needs to actually, finally solve FSD. No more promises and reports of "substantial improvement". FSD absolutely needs to be 100% solved or it will just be a remarkable driver assist option and Tesla will just be a car company.

Not sure what you mean by bubble. Yes, Tesla stock will go down on 8/9 like the stock does after all events, but robotaxi isn't even priced into the stock yet. As long as by Dec 31 2024 TSLA not fall under $150.00 I’m be glad already guys I keep hearing about long term but I invested in TSLA over 3 years I still lost about 10%.
Analysts are clowns. Why would this analyst lower the target without waiting until August 8th to get a more clear picture of what robotaxi could be. These guys are all guessing and know no more than educated retail.
What if when Tesla starts its app for auto taxis they allow any drivers to drive for them. If you want to control the ride sharing you have to win the drivers. So Tesla announces a ride sharing platform that supports current driver based cars that currently drive for Uber but at a lot better rates. Then they incentivize them to switch to Tesla's to get even better rates if they are driving a Tesla or driving a Tesla with FSD engaged. Could even give discounts to Uber drivers to buy a Tesla.
This would make the app a hit and start onboarding customers before FSD is fully ready. Then you start to transition from self driving to Full self driving.
I like this idea also because it may take a lil time for some folks to prepare for a fully autonomous vehicle. Have a ride share driver behind the wheel while you're waiting for the full robot-taxi to be rolled out. That way ppl can see how well the car drives but also have the comfort of knowing someone is behind the wheel. Will most likely increase vehicle sales too. Ooooh I'm getting so excited about my portfolio lol.
The average uber driver only generates 30 miles of revenue per day. How will you replace the mostly parttime uber driver, who is perfectly suited to meet peak demand times, with robotaxi? There is no viable business model for robotaxi.
The services behind the App are what makes an App successful not the fact that an App exists. Few to zero competitors are solving full self driving at all. All of the apps from many services and fleets will license technology from Tesla and Tesla will be receiving a large percentage profit on every vehicle being used as a robot taxi world wide. Others can’t achieve that scale and therefore will not achieve that scalability world wide very soon in years.

Robotaxi is still a concept and does not exist. There are zero revenues on robotaxi that is why Tesla stock is in a downward trend down 58% from its all time high while the S&P500 and Nasdaq are hitting fresh all time highs every week! 😮

Tell me again how $227 is bullish on the stock that was $300 two years ago when it did a 3-for-1 split. That seems to be a lower price to me. We've been in the doldrums for years now, so $227 just doesn't thrill me. Am I missing something?
Herbert. Can you discuss how Trump win will affect tesla sales ? Because he is going to take away the EV tax credits and cars will immediately become several thousand dollars expensive. Trump winning might be good for other companies of Elon, but is bad for tesla.
That's a good question. My guess is Trump coming back in office could potentially affect Tesla in a minor way down, but it will only be temporary and rebound nicely.
And so will all other EVs. Tesla reducing cost of good rigorously. While the others are not, they will be lucky to break even by 2028. Without incentives, their EV will become less and less attractive compared to cost and value provided by Tesla. There will always be brand loyalty for the legacies but that won't last in the long run.
@CapeFear1 7500 dollar tax credit is a huge deal. This is in noway minor effect. People are not able to afford tesla even at this rate. How can they afford after all tax credits are taken away.
