1998 was the top tier year of PS1: metal gear solid, ridge racer type 4, tekken 3 and right this beautiful gem ❤ love medievil since i started playing retro games during covid and this IMHO is by far the best hack n slash plataformer of the PS1

I JUST DOWNLOAD A PS1 EMULATOR AND I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT GAME THIS WAS. I was a little kid and it was only a demo I would play all the time. I tried Google searching what it was but couldn't find the game. Thanks, I'll download it now

That was SCEE at its pure finest, much much more than of what SCEA or 989 Studíos were doing when they made their own MediEvil in the form of Blasto, which failed miserably. Always proud to be European when I first got my PlayStation in 1998 and knowing it for the first time through OPM demos that I got and being insanely hyped for it at the time.

I’m speaking as someone who play retro games on a regular basis. Medievil controls were so incredibly bad even for its time.
Like damn, they were so slippery. Game was nice and with a lot of charm, but controls alone make it not fun to play at all.
