It's hard to tell if EF played too good or just C9 didn't give them enough pressure.

EF is a very good team and they played very well today.
While C9 isn't living up to what they wanted, We have to give props to EF for playing so well. Dominant each map.
C9 needs a dedicated IGL, they have the firepower they just need the calling and mindset.

Eternal Fire definitely deserved the win here. A few hiccups but a great performance overall and I hope to see more from Wicadia.
And this was a roster that was expected to be top 3 immediately. But now, at best we'll have to give them time to be top 10 or maybe even 15. Heck, time might already be running out.

The keyword is team, my friend. It's not about having 5 great individual talents at this level. You need a cohesive unit, which Cloud 9 clearly doesn't have (yet). They definitely have the potential to be a super team, anybody that thinks otherwise is just riding out this rough patch so they can say "I was right." They need to practice, that's for sure. They look lost at times, and there have been a lot of head scratching plays where it seems like they're just not communicating with each other. Definitely can be a great team but they have to put in just as much work as everybody else.

I knew Eternal Fire could finally tighten up and show good form we saw from them at Proleague s17 , they also beat Liquid back then so I'm hopeful to see MAJ3R and company EF make Playoffs, GL hope they get out of this Group of Death

IGL is the problem in EF actual roster, they have very good firepower but their teamwork and decision making is not up to tier 1 standards yet.

You guys remember, how everyone were hyping up this C9 roster and saying Navi will be terrible... and here we have Navi wining Faze 2:0 and C9 losing 2:0 to EF. Losing to everyone actually, they are like one of the weakest teams at tier 1 at the moment. Remember how Blade was saying, that electronic is already a better IGL than BoomIb4? Remember how C9 were blaming Nafany for their poor results? I'm very curious who are they gonna blame next xD
EF has insane covering fire and crossfires between their players, crazy effective preventing peeks and follow ups, C9 couldn't do anything against this style of play.

cloud 9 has a good team, each of its players is in the top 20 ranking, while in EF, none of them, not even XANTARES, however this is a team game, it is clearly seen that electronic is not IGL, if you don't look at NAVI, just simple and B1T ARE IN THE TOP 20 while aleksib, jl and IM are not and look at their results, they won 1 in their group without much difficulty, they even beat FAZE 2-0 because each one is in their role, aleksib is doing a good I work like IGL until now, we'll see later, IM and JL have also proven to be up to the task, and B1t is a monster headshot machine.

This c9 roster really needs a true igl to be great again cuz electronic maybe somewhat good, but if you want to be the best, you can’t be somewhat good. He needs to do what he is trully good at, which is being a superstar rifler.
People have been saying that Hobbit doesnt look comfortable with the system rn, so even tho im not one to jump on bandwagons, he needs to be replaced by someone.
Sh1ro has been doing amazing but cant seem to find results in tournaments. Hope they can improve in cs2

That - & elec's ego. I mean, he was literally bullying b1t to the ground each and every game, him raging at Valerchik even made it to ESL's documentary about Rio Major, lol. s1mple, when malding, is one type of a mood killer, but when elec (especially while being an IGL) got infuriated alongside him - it's like seating inside of a nuclear meltdown, kek. Not to mention captain is simply not allowed to lose his cool like elec's been losing it almost all the time since last year's Cologne (when karrigan schooled him big time in IGLing). So yeah, B1ad3's decision to make electronic his IGLing puppet seriously harmed NaVi overall & elec's career in particular.
Cloud 9 is just cursed , no matter how many shuffles you do or how many superstars you put in , they always manage to lose. If they could just get their ex team name Gambit back , I am pretty sure they would dominate.

Starting to think that the problem with the old navi wasn’t s1mple, ppl said that s1mple force elec to be an igl and his ego kill the team, but why does elec force c9 to sell nafunny to be their igl if that was the case. I love elec and perf but elec calling is just so baffling bad, kicking nafunny is a huge mistake for c9, his calling consistently lead c9 to top 4-8 of most tournaments in 2022-2023, with elec and perf it should be a clear upgrade but this is just a huge tactical downgrade

It was not s1mple who "forced" elec into an IGL position - it was B1ad3. B1ad3 thought it doesn't matter who the IGL is as long as his "system" is established and works fine (which in fact means "his gameplans & calls are being strictly followed"). Under B1ad3 captains in NaVi are rather his own henchmen than individual figures. Have you noticed that NaVi's playstyle hasn't drastically changed in transition from BooMbl4 to elec, to Aleksib? I swear I was infuriated when I saw Aleksib "calling" the "last 20 sec" T rounds on Nuke for the past couple of months b4 EPL - cuz it's a typical "Flips1d3 Tactics 2015" strat by B1ad3 (yeah, it's not a "NaVi strat", it's his). That's why B1ad3 said that "elec is already better than BooMbl4 in calling" - cuz IGLs in NaVi are set to do things B1ad3's way only. That's why sdy said "NaVi's new roster is gonna be fine if B1ad3 is not gonna force his way", that's why flamie in the recent interview said that B1ad3 was real angry with BooMbl4 every time the latter tried to call his own game. So all in all, previous NaVi roster had a platter of problems: s1mple malding, electronic being an ego-maniac (honestly, that could be said about B1ad3 as well, same with s1mple) & malding just as much while IGLing, B1ad3's dictatorship with his outdated view being shoved down the throat of the whole team, the 5th players always being a weak link in comparison to the rest of the four and so on. Personally, I'm tending to focus on B1ad3's inability to loosen up the grip & actually cooperate with IGLs. That, IMHO, is NaVi's main problem, especially now, when Aleksib is the captain - the guy who has A LOT more experience in leading international rosters than B1ad3 has ever had.
this is why 5 stars in 1 team will never work, you can win games if all of them show up sure, but without an actual igl you cant win games consistently
