I would have opted EE in DTU. Cause there aren't much companies hiring students for core biotech jobs. Mostly whoever opts biotech either goes for a master's degree or joins any IT job. OPT BIOTECH ONLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE SUBJECT AND INTEND TO DO RESEARCH IN THE FIELD!

Academic curriculum is almost similar across all branches. Ultimately your brother will have to study on his own to maintain a decent pointer. As for placements, they are quite good, but he will need to simultaneously prepare for them while managing his coursework. Also, most of the companies keep a cut off pointer to sit for placements. Hey, you might get CSE but every year it changes so can't really say. Even if you get IS or SE, I think you should take it. All three gets equal opportunities in terms of placement, only the course work varies. All the best :)
As far as I've observed, SE is more challenging. CSE should be your first preference I feel. And you have a good chance of getting into NIT R with that score. All the very best !
Both will provide you equal opportunities for placements. Usually NIT A is preferred based on higher cut offs and competitive environment. But again, it's the same in terms of companies visiting and packages offered.
As far as I can remember it was 11pm or may be 10.30pm but that was just formality. We entered midnight as well. Just need to fill the register & show college ID
