Shot List: Summary: Eighth Air Force activity during World War II. Highlighting the B-17 bomber, MEMPHIS BELLE, selected for tour of USA after completing 25 missions. Combat missions and tour scenes. Reel 8: 1) PS arrival of B-17 MEMPHIS BELLE, fly-by, landing, taxiing -- crowds, crew introduced, speechos. 2) Aerial scenes of same, large dopot, camouflage netting used on depot warehouses. B-17 buzzes the depot and lands, C-47's stationary on parking ramp. 3) MS pilot of T-6 gets out of same and walks away. 4) MS & CU crowd around plane. 5) Aerial formation of B-17's. 6) Aerial single B-17. 7) PS B-17's peel off for landing. 8) PS single B-17 peels off. 9) PS fighters attack formation of B-17's. 10) AS B-17, fire on top fuselage. 11) ALS formation B-17's, one trails smoke. 12) Same. 13) AS heavy flak bursts. 14) Aerial single B-17, No. 1 prop feathered. 15) CU demolished tail section of B-17. 16) ECU name of B-17, DAME SATAN, flak hole in fuselage. 17) ECU flak damage to nose section. 18) CU crew looks at demolished nose. 19) CU damaged bomb-bay doors. 20) PS B-17 taxiing. 21) PS ambulance drives out to B-17. 22) PS B-17 taxiing. 23) MS crowd looks at demolished nose of B-17. 24) CU demolished nose and flak holes.
