Hi Mira! I’m 13 years old, I just finished my first quilt, I’ve been sewing since I was 7 or 8 and I decided I wanted to make a quilt! I’m very crafty I knit, crochet paint draw and lots of other crafts, currently I’m working on a king size granny square crochet blanket for my dad for Father’s Day and I’m loving the process. You are such a inspiration to me, you radiate positivity, I love this channel ❤
I hope he loves it! I once made my brother a throw blanked from granny squares. The funny thing was, I only used three very very large squares haha. He's over 6 feet
Oh, and as someone who has been equally crafty from nearly the same age, and whom is now nearing their 40s, keep with it! Practice as close to every day as you can!

Mira, I know you probably won't see this...but i wanted to let you know that this video helped to soothe my aching heart ❤️ a little today... Yesterday morning i had to have my youngest kitty put to sleep (he was not quite 2 years old and still the size if a 6 month old kitten). He was so VERY sick and there was nothing more that they could do for him. My heart is shattered 💔. Your soft, soothing voice and kind words were JUST what i needed today. Thank you for being YOU!!! The emotions chapter in this video really resonated with me. I'm going through a particularly difficult time in life, health wise and feeling validated for not always feeling my best and not being happy really hit home. Sometimes, the "little things/moments" are the "Big deal" ones. 😊 I recently did a page in my art journal, from the memory of some adorable Canada geese walking on the sidewalk. I've started aiming for photo realism with graphite wich can get quite intense... your videos are a very welcomed break to bring colour back into my little art world... also my non verbal autistic 4year old absolutely loves this style we sit and watch them together practising saying what you paint like "flower!" I'm happy for a new sketchbook ideas video. Ive been sick for sometime so these ideas will help me get back into making art. I make quilts. They are very simple just squares but it's something me and my grandma do together so it's fun. I really like the idea of making a quilt in my sketchbook too.

Yes I love to embroider and weave tapestries, wool, rope, leather. I do lots of multi media art, book nooks. I love to draw but im not the best at it lol.. I have, acrylics, oil paints, water colours, posca pens, oil pastels, chalks, the lot, but rarely use them as ive always found painting and drawing so intimidating, but im really enjoying your advice about the whole reason why we create and what medium we use...were not perfect...thanku ❤

I am the Art Lead at the school I work at and its crazy to see how much the kids worried about making a mess.... I always remind them that everyone is an artist doesn't matter if your work is perfect or not.

little update: the half filled triangles made me think of the Egyptian pyramids. I think I'm going to fill the empty halfs with hieroglyphics :)
