West Ham United are in discussions over a loan move for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Talks centre on the conditions of a potential deal.
Sky Sports News reported yesterday West Ham were one of six clubs interested in the player.
Crystal Palace and Newcastle have also made contact with City about a deal this month.

So many stories about a guy that never plays! Whoever gets him will be a pure rehab club for him.
Definitely, he needs to play football. He’s been sat on the city bench for 1 and a half years collecting trophies whilst barely kicking a ball. Even when Rodri is suspended pep would rather play silva or kovacic out of position than play Kalvin Phillips. He’s never going to get any game time at city he needs to leave
Even Stones played there a few times ahead of Phillips last season!
If Pep is not playing him, even when the position is available then something is not right. Could it be another Jadon Sancho behind the scenes & kept quiet.
I'm a West Ham fan and have been for 50 years. I would love to see Kalvin play for us !!!

@@dalesaunders8458i think it will be a good signing because him and alverez would be solid in the middle and it will free up jwp to get forward as he aint the best at defending. It was also free up paq more as he wont have to keep tracking over to the middle to cover jwp and soucek, soucek can then be benched and come on later to get in the box if we are chasing a goal, only concerns would be the history of injuries but if you can keep him fit he would be a great signing plus he'll be hungry to prove the world wrong about him ⚒
@@dnbdevastator5786 i understand your thinking. however i feel we already play so defensive, i want paq playing number 10 in the middle 3. i want to see a positive change to a good left winger so we can use our best players to win the ball higher up the pitch and then cause more damage. also philips only wants to play to get his euro place, and im not happy with us just being used to get him fit and match sharp.
@@dalesaunders8458but paq will still end up being further back defending as jwp and soucek cant cope, getting phillips in on a loan would also free up the cash to get another attacking player in like kudus which then paq can play as a 10 and not have to sit back as much, atm we got no squad rotation because moyes dont fancy anyone on the bench to play, everygame alverez has not played we have been over run, just look at the bristol game, mid table championship team winning everything in the middle, i really dont care if phillips is trying to remain in the england team if it helps us stay fighting for a european spot again

In terms of goals he's had a better season and won us a few games but doesn't offer much throughout the rest the game

I dont agree, take alverez out the team and our midfield gets outplayed constantly, other than paq going into the middle we dont have anyone, loan deal for phillips would be great because then it gives us more money to try get a striker and cover for other positions, phillips if you can keep him fit in with alverez would be solid and would free up jwp to get forward as he aint that good at defending, paq is constantly being dragged into the middle to help defend leaving only emerson on left to try hit the counter

Because he his better than soucek sadly, other than being able to get in the box to score..soucek dont really offer much, his passing is the worse out the whole team, in fact there's been games where he has only completed like 4 passes the whole game
