- My MTB compound is getting insane now, there's more to ride than ever and I'm now addicted to building and riding new features and dirt jumps. In this video I've build a new clay dirt take off to act as a big spine step up in the back of the huge slopestyle landing. So Ben and I rode that on my MTB and his BMX. It's been great taking experience and tips from the backyard trails build last year, as well as the pump track I've built here in the past, so it's time to start a new mega build and creat a trails line now! I've also added a large wooden deck to the skatepark style quarter pipe section, for more tech tricks and new lines. Keep the ideas and names coming! Enjoy

The clay spine should be called the Hillary Step. It was a near vertical rock face just below the summit of Everest, and the last major obstacle before reaching the top. The compound is looking sick! 👏

It always amazes me how hard Matt and Ben work. This channel has grown on me so much in the past year, love it.

If your adding a landing to the back of the quarter you can make another quarter pipe to turn around so you can use that landing for a take off

The compound is super sick
Build a huge 180 berm in the place of the muc-off landing with an entry from both sides so you can hit it from the k2 or from the Ben Nevis range. You could also incorporate it in the trails line.

Can I suggest doing something with a TRAMPOLINE at the end, always good fun. Like a lip into trampoline with a spine or wall behind
Name drop: for the jump/step-up on Everest, call it base-camp 2, you can at on to basecamp 3. with the dropin sherpa, on to basecamp and land the Everest. Keep up te good work Ben en Matt!
After a good night of sleep, it hit me, a better name can be: "Hillary Step" .. The Hillary Step was a nearly vertical rock face with a height of around 12 metres (39 ft) located very high on Mount Everest at approximately 8,790 metres :)
You know what else you should build? I think you should build another spine or tall quarter pipe on the other side of the Everest kicker so you could do transfers and stuff like that.

just continue the skatepark section after the spine/table thing. I think that's the best use of the small space AND very fun too.

Build a miniramp next to the quarter. Expand the quarter to the side where that old roll in is and add another quarter on the opposite side. BMXers love miniramps. Then there'll be easily enough space for a spine AND a handrail for the miniramp, you can pump the mini to get more speed for the spine etc.
Trail line idea🤔 earlier episode Sam suggested changing the ladders to the start of the trails line, side spine over into the landing just before k2 and incorporate your giant 90 degree wall ride&muc off wall following around to the left, more jumps/pump track/trails track around the back

You should call the new jump Scarfell- second highest mountain in England, beaten only by Scarfell Pike, which is obviously right next to it, like The clay jump is next to Everest.
Make the 4 foot deck so you can do foot jams and other tricks but also put a landing on the other side so it can also be a table top (then into whatever you want)

Since your going to have a trail after you turn around on little quarter, you could build some woops (dont know if I spelt that right) from the 10 foot quarter into the spine straight into the trails for the people who want to go from huge tricks to a flowy trail

You’re really good at building jumps, I know it’s stating the obvious given the years of doing it but your shovel craft is top level and you’re a pretty good ramp carpenter too... 👌

After this series Matt and Ben should definitely re-visit the back garden trails and start adding more to them. That would be epic ✌️👊
Supposedly he and his fiancee broke up, and the property with the back garden was hers--that's why we haven't seen it in a while.

Dude you should create some sort of wall ride on the side of Everest in the trails which then feeds into both the Ben section plus a line going down past the mulch landing. When you go past the mulch Landon. There should be some drop or ramp or something which you could also hit from the quarter pipe. Looking sick tho
As an engineer, i like how you build the ramps. They look stable. The wood is correct aligned and there are no small edges. It looks like you know something about physics.
Please put a rainbow berm on k2 for the commemoration of the pump track Matt!!!

I have a suggestion that if you're making something with clay then just also make one balcony type of thing near Everest and K2 as it would be great for some photo shoots and your hard work of doing these sick tricks would be seen...
you could also build a whale tale in the line between everest and the Airbag after the lip, that´s between Bens quarter and the lip after the airbag, and the whale tail´s landing could be the landing, you planned next to bens quarter.

Behind the “Ben” you should add an air bag. A flat bag would be cool so you could practice certain tricks(like just dropping or for a narwhal feature). Or put a airbag lander to have another cool feature to practice on over the “Ben”. I feel like an airbag would incapsulate that area.
You can get a container and build a wale-tale on it. That's would be nice

If you were to shrink the earth down to the size of an 8 ball. It would be the smoothest thing in existence. We wouldnt be able to replicate how smooth it is. The size of the mountains is so insignificant to the surface area of the earth they wouldnt be noticeable on an 8 ball sized version.
in the back right after the mulch jump and instead of the vert wall just build a huge berm which goes to vertical near the top and has a large exit round the corner past the vert wall so u have a clay vert wall with a huge berm that can help lines link and make cool trails lines

Hi matt, i think that you should make a hip where the landing is coming off the side of Everest. You could make the spine a 2 way lip.
Hey matt I have an idea 💡!! What if you add some sort of burm right next to you airbag so you can roll in and hit the burm around the airbag and carry more speed into the jump! You could incorporate it into your trails hybrid and maybe even add it as a down ramp from the opposite dirt jump beside your airbag! I don’t no man just throwing it out there it would add two lines in one build! Any way love the videos mate keep up the great work!
