Nice! Love to see guys keeping these classics alive! I still miss my 86 250r and ripping weekends in Glamis with friends.... Sold it in 96 I believe and in same condition as yours. Great to watch. 👍
I miss riding a three wheeler. I had one . Thats how I got into riding when I was 13. I had a 125m then got a 250SX. I really regret selling that. They are fun. I can imagine how insanely fun the R 2-stroke models are!! Awesome video, thanks for uploading!
One of the kids I rode with when I was younger had the opposite problem. He rode 3 wheelers for so long, it took him forever to learn to ride a quad. Said it felt like too many wheels.
My old man had one and I told him if he ever wanted to sell it, I would buy it. The dumb bastard sold it for less than what I would've payed for it, still pisses me to this day.
I’ve been looking at an 86. That’s the year I’m looking for or a 87 the liquid cooled years. Been looking at you guys vids for a bit now also. The absolute first thing I’m gonna do is convert it from that thumb throttle to moto-throttle. I’ve been going back and forth on a Banshee or a ATC250R. You mentioned do that on your Banshee when you pulled it in 6th. They’re both loads of fun to ride. A 2001 banshee in damn near mint condition just sold on eBay for $7500. Im all torn up about what I want to get. It’s almost impossible to choose.
Really cool video I love the 3rd person filming they make your riding look really good sometimes in first person you lose a little bit of that but yeah good vid and even better riding
00 01 cr 250 ign for more revs faster revs and more sparkage have them on my 500s and trx250r loved the crispy healthy R please make more love the wheelies floating over everything 2 bangers for life lets goooo
Nice 250r brother! Original ‘86 owner here, quick question what gears ya running and what size paddles? Looking to replace my 10 paddle’s, they are a little much if you get on it low in 6th. Any help much appreciated
It’s a 1985 ATC250R that I restored to look like an ‘86. The motor has a Honda cylinder, that is built as much as possible: ported by LED performance, Hinson clutch, 39mm PWK carb, Paul Turner exhaust, etc…
man such a fun time...who said stock cylinders aren't fun. I have a trinity ported stock cylinder in my 88 trx250.. im making the step to the big boy game and doing a 380...a atc is different tho, this is like the perfect mix of torque and power.
Nice!

Y’all 3 wheeler riders are insane I’ll ride a dirtbike and a quad no problem but I don’t have the balls to ride a 3 wheeler lol. Thanks for uploading

Cool vid! If you can ride one and not scared, they’re the most fun to ride. I love my 85 and don’t want anything else.
Mine is an 85 too, but I restored it to look like an 86. Best there is 👍
Long live 2 strokes. Awesome video
The liquid cooled version were night and day faster than the air cooled model in stock form awesome wheelers

There both great machines, can’t go wrong with either, I personally went with a banshee for now, but would love to get a 250r someday
You won't find an '87 ATC250R
@@hank1556 Just realized my mistake. 86 water cooled is what I’d be looking for.
Beautiful history. Oh the sound
I’m a dirt bike guy but always loved the 250r 3 wheeler
Love the video! Friend of Collins ATV+
I got an 82 I bombed Hauser and boxcar and spinreel last weekend. There was people everywhere Saturday
1986 tri z 250 is the most unrated bike ever!! I had one that had a big 310, and it was nasty!! Your bike isvery nice though man
Really cool video I love the 3rd person filming they make your riding look really good sometimes in first person you lose a little bit of that but yeah good vid and even better riding

How in the heck is he pulling a wheelie in 6th gear!? Impressive. 😊
Super clean
Thanks for the ride...next time I won't forget my kidney belt ! 👍
The bumps are rough on a three wheeler!!
Fastest and funnest bike I've ever owned
Git it! Mines getting some freshening up as we speak for NYE2024

I'm running stock gearing, 13/39. My paddles that I run are either 20" Skat Track Haulers, or 20" ITP Sand Stars. I recommend both.
What are the specs on this trike? Sounds perfect and looks like it absolutely rips.

@@austinATV-ATC is it a stock stroke?
use to ride sanoma beach CA. got over the rust.
It looks fast cuz it is 😮😊
Do you guys know if there is a k&n air filter that fits in a 85-86 atc 250r air box?
Yes
@mattp3553 Thank you, I found it.
Badass 🤘. I follow you on IG .
Big bore ?
LED 300? Kit? Only real men ride three wheelers lol
And those who hill climb on 3wheelers are even more so! 😂
Build stock cylinder from LED. Its about a 265CC.

Minty!
