- Gov. Ron DeSantis is holding his second press conference of the day Wednesday, this time in Palm Harbor. Wednesday morning in Naples, the governor announced a civics education initiative aimed at teaching students "foundational principles" of our country and our society without "politicized academic fads." DeSantis on Tuesday outlined how he would like the state to use federal relief funds. Among the recommendations is a $1,000 payment for first responders. In addition, the governor said he hopes to give funding towards modernizing the state's re-employment program, helping the tourism industry, job growth opportunities, and the Florida National Guard. Gov. DeSantis also dropped the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility age to 60 Monday and said he plans to lower the age to 55 by the end of the month in an effort to give shots to all adults in Florida before President Joe Biden’s goal of May 1.
I already had covid 19 and my body is already making its own vaccine. No shot for me in NC.

Im life long dem voter who voted republican for the first time in 2020. I dont think i can ever go back to voting dem again due to their change in the past 2 years, maybe i would if its a really good one. I'm not a hard conservative republican either, but desantis and trump types are cool. I wouldnt vote for some ted cruz or bush-ite person either.
@@ShivamPatel-ey9re Only if Ron keeps doing well and helps fix some of florida's education issues and implements some well though out conservationists policies for the florida eco system. He seems to be on the right track as long as he follows the science and biology he's got my vots

DeSantis wants to teach me civics when I'm of African American/Native American/Irish decent. Now Native/ African /Asian /Mexican/other ppl of color are having trouble with bad policing with corrupt policies and no community oversight committee or input no cameras no recourse no justice for a system that is racially systemic. Riddled with overtones of injustices in America, I want better. I need to find out who's running against you in office and volunteer... Even if its taking out the trash!!!

People who are politically left and right are leaving their states behind to go to florida even if ron is a republican. Do you honestly mean to tell me andrew cuomo of NY, gavin newsom of CA, JB pritzker of IL, or phil murphy of NJ are better govorners than Ron Desantis? If other states are getting more money because they have more unemployment, then fine. The money should go where most needed.
The point is other states are being punished because of states with horrible government. The horrible government should be punished.
