    Any tips to get the locking clips for the horn assembly in? Mine jams the horn on when I tighten it up

    Thanks very helpful vid! Would this be the same for a 2001 AU11, also are the two t30 torx screws 5 or 6 pointed? Cheers!

    Nice wheel mate. So disconnecting the battery is a must? And would u take out any fuse to the air bag at all? I'm replacing the clock spring and just wondering how to go about it.

    Awesome video mate! I’m trying to replace my fly by wire and accelerator pedal in Ford falcon ba 2005. Apparently I have to remove the whole steering column. Do you know if this is true.

    • @echooscar6670
      @echooscar6670  Рік тому

      According to the manual, yes you need to remove the steering column first.

    Hey mate my ba steering wheel only gets 1 and a quarter turns to the right, and just over 1 and half to the left lock to lock.
    Is there a way to adjust? Reckon wheel is put on wrong?

    Where did you get the wheel from?

  • @luke9031
    @luke9031 2 роки тому

    Mate when your taking out the back 2 bolts. Did you have to reconnect the battery so you could turn the wheel the opposite way to get the other bolt out?

    • @echooscar6670
      @echooscar6670  2 роки тому

      I didn't, as long as the key is in the acc or on position the steering lock should be disengaged, allowing you to rotate the wheel. It will be difficult though as with the engine off, no power steering.

    You'd think the MOMO steering wheel would be some nice sporty style thing, instead it looks like the regular XR6 leather wheel just with a small MOMO embossing on it. I'm very disappointed with Ford and with MOMO for cheaping out and using a stock style wheel

    do you know what other features are included in the rip curl edition, I have a non-turbo 4 speed bf which comes with the momo wheel and shifter, but that's all I really know about it. cheers :)

    • @echooscar6670
      @echooscar6670  2 роки тому +1

      As far as I know, they came with 18'' wheels as pictured, standard was 17''. They also had the "Rip Curl" badging on the rear of the cab, the momo steering wheel and neoprene seat covers which were placed over standard BF XR seats, the seats themselves are the same as any other XR.

    The old wheel wasn't that bad, the new one looks Grey, prefer the old one

    • @echooscar6670
      @echooscar6670  Рік тому +1

      The original one on the car looked better in the video, it was all cracked and worn, there was no avenue to restore it, it was also originally grey. I replaced it based on factory spec sheets.

    How tight did u do the bolts bc my horn goes off and then when I undo it the horn stops

    • @echooscar6670
      @echooscar6670  2 роки тому

      Not sure which bolts you're talking about, but it seems you may have a connection problem in the horn wiring or clock spring.
