This video has saved me when I was playing on i7 3770 xD I've upgraded my rig right now so I'm unsure if I should modify it a bit? 32gb 6000mhz ddr5 dual channel Ryzen 9 7950x3d Unfortunately didn't get to upgrade my GPU but that will be my next upgrade for sure! playing on old RX 580 8GB... any advice would be much appreciated :) what can I modify this guide now is the basis of my settings atm.
5:00 don't use High Performance plan on laptops. You probably should have option to set different modes when you're in balanced power plan (click on the panel where you can turn wi-fi, change brightness etc., idk how it's called), so just change it to max performance and don't switch to high performance plan, it won't affect your fps at all, and can even decrease it (in my case it's exactly what high performance plan did)
@@ebylio8250 well, then try High Performance plan, if you won't notice anything or get decrease in performance like I did, then just skip this tweak and leave it on balanced plan. The most important windows tweak was GPU Hardware Acceleration, everything else practically don't help at all
With Laptops, certain power options will be greyed out IF you are NOT plugged into the wall. You cannot expect any high performance while running on battery, you have to be plugged in to an outlet to get the GPU to run at max.
I upgrated my pc to a i5 13600k + rtx 4070 super but the game still runs bad despite following recommendations. my GPU only runs on 50% usage so i could have double the FPS but suffering from low FPS + Stutters.
I have a Ryzen 7 5700x + RTX 4070 12gb (1440p) and DayZ dont use 100% of GPU, im having a severe fps lost in some places... Why dayz cant use all the power of my GPU?
Hi Kephren that was a nice video. i would like to ask you about a problem that i have. every time i co to a city and look inside of it like seeing a lot of building at once my fps drops and my gpu is not going over 70%. i have a b550 aorus elite v2 with 32gb ram 3200mhz. ryzen 7 5800X and rx 7600 8gb. i m having big issues because of the level of detail that i use on extreme to see as much as possible. what i want to ask is: the extreme option depends on the cpu or the gpu? because i want to know if i m bottlenecking somewhere because my gpu is not going over 70%. i have no fps limiters no vsync or gsync enabled nothing that could stop the card from going over 70% it only goes over when i m like at the border of the map. i dont know what it s happening and i would love to get an answer if anyone knows anything about this issue. thank you for the video and u got a new subscriber. keep up the good work.
Use nvidia settings and change so you only use CPU instead of GPU, there are a lot of tutorials out there for nvidia settings that might help you out, Cause I have a low end PC.
Unfortunately Dayz is a cpu bound game, and it’s single core cpu at that… so it won’t even show 90 percent on cpu, because it’s only using mainly 1 core… pretty much make core 1 is as fast as possible to smooth this out…. I had the same issue on my old pc and it would drop below 60fps from 120 in bases and town. Sometimes you just gotta live with the dips

@@iTG364 Dude, that CPU has 8 cores, 16 threads and runs at standard speed of 3.8 GHZ and overclocks itself as high as 5.1GHZ, ...it's only 4 years old, ...so, what are you talking about? Are you running a quantum computer? Because DayZ is only a SINGLE threaded game.

Same in here. Ryzen 7 5700x + 4070 Aero, and the game still use 50% of my GPU, some places i'm having a big FPS loss...
Its cos the game is badly optimized just need to wait until devs will improve the games performance

Dayz is badly optimized, unfortunately u cant do anything to it just need to wait until devs improve the performance of the game

You need more ram, especially if you play modded servers. I suggest 16g minimum
Also, check to see if all your cores are being used. Forget how to check but you can UA-cam it.

View Distance is NOT client-based but server-based! You can type there 1000000 and nothing will happen!
Do the “expansion settings” do anything for you!? That’s the first two sliders on it is View Distance and Object detail distance
