Who would up pick, The OnePlus 12 or Galaxy S24 Ultra?
Oneplus 12
oneplus 12
S24 Ultra
S24U
already pre booked s24u !!!
At $799 for 16Gb ram+ 512Gb, the OP12 is an unbeatable deal. For a $500 difference the results shouldn't be this close. Absolute win for OnePlus. 👍
*16GB of ram
@@five6263 Oh yeah that's right. Even better. 👍
How the hell is it 800 $, when it's 1150 euros on the official site ?
@@szotakandrei It was $800 for me. It was actually $600. They knocked $100 for pre-ordering, and another $100 for trading in your old phone, any model, any condition.
$600 for a phone competitive with flagships was the easiest no-brainer trigger pull of my life.
@@ryswick1064 You do realize you get discounts and trade in deals with samsung correct? I got $250 knocked off just for pre-ordering and got a free upgrade to the 512Gb storage version. If i traded in my s23+ i wouldve undoubetdly gotten close to $500 off and i had free credit to purchase accessories. Carrier deals are the best.
You didn't mentioned battery and charging which is better in OP. Value for money definitely the OnePlus 12 wins...
This dude is complete garbage. I ordered an s24 ultra and there’s still plenty to like about the oneplus 12. He was clearly biased and down playing the value of that phone.
BUM!
Right , the battery and charging are huge factors that affect everyone and is the main selling point for this phone
@@BearMetrothe price alone and the fact that they were able to get all the necessary things on the phone is a good reason why you should chose one plus ,Samsung s24u is definitely not even close to be worthy $600 more then the one plus 12
Oneplus doesn't have the stylus support and I hate curved screens those are 2 reasons why I went with the s24 ultra
Couple features that were not highlighted on the Oneplus --
It can detect water droplets separately from swipes, which can be a game changer in the rain, or if you like to read the news while you're in the shower.
Oneplus 12 wireless charging is an insane 50w, and the fast charging is 100w. On top of that, they include the brick in the box!
Also, while not as necessary in 2024, Oneplus allows you to easily root and unlock your device without breaking your warranty, which is the opposite of Samsung, who makes it as difficult as they can, and you can guarantee your warranty is broken if you ever do find a way. I personally don't care for loading custom OS on a phone, but I do find that there are still cases where I need root for something I want to do on my phone, and having that flexibility is nice to have in your back pocket.
I only bring these up, because for some people they are far more important and useful that the AI features that were covered on S24. While I definitely agree they are cool as hell, personally, none of them really serve any purpose, similar to how I rarely use the voice assistant on my devices. Circling things to search is cool, but not significantly different than just using Google Lens or any other kind of reverse image search, and translation services simply aren't as big of a deal in the US, but I can certainly see how they would be massive for some.
I do commend your assessment of the cameras, as this is exactly my thoughts on the differences between the two, and I've seen many other content creators that seem to not understand that the general population doesn't care nearly as much about selfie camera video quality and that the most important thing by a long shot is simply the main camera quality for still photos.
Either way, it is really crazy to me that this is one of the only close Android comparisons on the market. IMO OP12 is the clear winner in the mid range market of phones like S24+ and Pixel 8, and it goes toe to toe with the much more expensive S24 Ultra, and for many people actually is the preferred choice.
Insane value proposition here by Oneplus, and return to greatness. The flagship killer is back!
I am a big Samsung fan but the price, battery capacity, faster charging capabilities and being able to use the phone while the screen is wet goes a lot further. I don't plan on swimming with my phone and using a stylus all day. The 24 is not better than the one plus 12 by 600 dollars.
Ur finally the only person I've seen to make this comment man. I'm kind of disappointed in Samsung I love love their products, but in the recent years they've been a bit greedy with not much improvement and skyrocketing prices. It all started with the sd card being removed, and then the s22 ultra was in my opinion the last phone they innovated with. This phone in my opinion is worse in many ways other than the chip etc. One plus really has killed it with a lotttt more tech and new stuff and features. Im surprised he didnt talking about the 80W charging and the new ltpo panel etc. Really is a crazy phone that's making me consider switching after all these years
I only paid $662 for the s24 Ultra and it's definitely the better pho..one plus can't even split screen instagram.
It is crazy how Samsung phones prices has been increased that much and no one say anything ,Samsung s24u cost even more then iPhone which it is insane
It certainly is worth the extra $600 if my only other choice is this ugly...
@@Omar-kl3xp INSANE?? why, Samsung Ultra or Note is the best phone in world in last 10 years by far, he neeed and he must be most expensive, but in reality didnt, in my country I15 pro max is 200-300$ more expensive!!
In India OnePlus 12 costs ₹65k and s24U costs ₹130k . So i feel OnePlus 12 is good for me

that's it? for $800, no thanks. i dont care about the camera. i dont spend my days taking pictures of everything.

Amazing to see a 800 dollar phone be nearly equivalent to the premium top of the line. I’ll be taking that sweet deal and use the extra to buy some more stuff 😅
800 is premium too

Tbf i got the s24 ultra preordered for £825 which is just less than 900 usd i think thanks to student discount, preorder discount and note 10plus trade in for about 200usd alongside a case, screen protector and a galaxy 6 watch. Had the offer not been available and would have sold for 1300.. then i dont think I would have got it.
Samsung pre-order deals bring these phones to the same launch price which Samsung easily wings. OnePLus is a cheaper samsung with faster charging.
Hi witch is brither wen watch e video sir the one plus 12 or the Samsung Galaxy s24 ultra?
Is the galaxy running on performance mode?,cuz these scores are supposedly higher on other reviews I've watched🤔
How about battery life? Which lasts longer? What's the SOT
OnePlus 12, comes with a 80w charging brink in the box, has 50w wireless charging. It charges faster wirelessly than the s24 ultra on a cord. IR blaster, bigger battery, more RAM. The screen can be used even when it's wet. If you going to do a comparison and talk about the features then talk about all the features.
Oh and it's $500 less.
Is the pre installed screen protector on the one Plus 12 tempered glass or plastic?
The curved screen is a deal killer for me. What most reviewers don't tell you is that a curved edge screen lends serious vulnerability to breakage. There is literally no way to protect that edge without covering it with a case, which is absurd. I had a Note 20 ultra and this is how I broke my screen. I dropped it and hit the unprotected edge and cracked the screen, which costs $300 to replace. I was very pleased to see that the new S24 Ultra has a flat screen!
Yup. Pre-ordered the S24 ultra when I saw they decided to go to a flat screen. I can finally put a glass screen protector on my galaxy without messing with the UV application to fit a curved one.
One drop of this OnePlus, and you've essentially lost the money you saved by not going Samsung.
I love curved screen a lot. And I'm not sure if I prefer Oneplus if it had flat screen.
Even if Galaxy had the same price as OnePlus I would still buy the OnePlus
I had the 8.pro. and inevitably it smashed.
My One Plus 10 pro has no issues with the screen.
For HALF the price better batterry.. brighter screen with water feature... same cpu.. similar cameras..DID I SAY HALF THE PRCE and HS charger in box not a hard choice 12 all the way!
You were one of the youtubers who compared phones speakers but in this video i couldn't find speaker comparison. Like for video but please compare speakers as well in a future
Oneplus 12👌. I love not needing to charge at all when I'm at work and coming home in the afternoon, I charge it in the morning before work which only takes maybe 15-20 minutes from 30% charged. The only thing I would change is the curved screen to flat, coming from galaxy s10 it was hard to keep the PPF screen protector on on the edges. It always peels.
Price and battery always wins for me. If u take away the AI features the S24 is the same as the S23. I’m pretty sure other companies will soon jump on board with the AI but as for right now I’m going with the cheaper phone with better battery life and just as many features. 12 over 23 and a 1/2.
Great review. On the S24 Ultra which color is your favorite? I am torn between Gray Titanium and Violet Titanium. On the 12 I worry about the rear camera picture quality and I dont like curved screens. The price and specs overall are compelling so its tough.
Battery life?
In the photo comparison, S24 has better highlights and more natural tone whereas OnePlus represents a saturated look.
Yeah that's interesting. Because the oneplus has def a way better main sensor. Guess samsung has better software
One plus is more natural foto
😂😂 Samsung is always oversaturated, Oneplus isn't better tho, Samsung being a Samsung, and oneplus is trying something different here
Hello, my samsung s24 ultra arrived a few hours ago,wow wow wow, it's an absolute beast, really cool upgrade
Holy cow, never seen a camera comparison fly by so fast in the screen! At least give a few seconds so we can look at both photos before switching the frame!
You got to be kidding me ... Really?
Never used UA-cam?
@@LX_B I've watched hundreds if not thousands of smartphone reviews and never had to "pause" a video in order see the photos being showcased because they flipped thru them so quick, specifically in a comparison 🤷🏻
He doesn't want you to see a better OnePlus camera, you know, brother
It would be interesting to see all the score and game comparisons with the 16gb ram version vs the ultra. The 16Gb ram version is only $899. Vs $1,420 both with the 512GB storage.
Wish you would have done the camera comparison better, so we can actually see the photos and videos
I'd prefer 100 watt charger over S pen any day of the week
Looks like one of the best oneplus phones ever. I ordered a S24 ultra. But very curious to more S24 ultra vs oneplus 12 camera video's
Oneplus cameras have always been mediocre at best, OP12 being competitive camera-wise is what finally got me to pull the trigger on a new phone. It's been five years since my last phone, so honestly anything would've been an upgrade but I really wanted a better camera to better capture memories with. It was a toss up between Oneplus and the Pixel Pro for me, I had a Samsung S6+ Edge back in the day and switching to Oneplus 7T shocked me with how much less bloatware and just how 'stock' the Oneplus experience was. If you're willing to fill in all the gaps yourself, you'll come out with a very tailored experience. As for the Pixel Pro, the main draw was the AI stuff, and it seemed a lot clunkier and just not worth the hassle. The phones are also very highly priced with very low storage capacity. There are higher storage options for significantly more. I was more than willing to shell out the extra money for the 1TB specs... but they only had it in one or two colors. I actually wanted the mint, but that only had a 128GB. At that point it just felt like wayyy too many compromises for me. Oneplus 12 looks the best in my opinion, it's way cheaper, provides all the same performance I could care about, finally has competitive cameras, has decent storage capacity at 512GB, and will come without any of the bloatware. It's in my hands right now and I have no regrets.
No mention of the batteries? OP charges faster wirelessly than Samsung charges plugged in. 80w charging on the OP is incredible and with a bigger battery than Samsung. Photo comparisons are always biased. Check the "blind" comparisons that are out there. OP does very well.
4600 nuts is crazy 1750 on the s23u was hell bright I thought 2600 would be over kill lol
I would definitely say OP12 should be stacked up against the S24 Plus. But being as though it pretty much beats out the S24 Plus entirely, I understand why you put it up against the Ultra. Great comparison
spectrum mobile is offering a $700 trade in now for a new s24, even if your old phone is worth $30, and they are doubling the storage capacity as a free upgrade. what does OP12 offer?
@@BobRooney290they offer the exact same thing, so instead of 900$ (16gb/512gb) you get 100$ off for the extra storage and 100$ less again for a trade in any condition
@@BobRooney290 uhh... A better phone??
@@BobRooney290 what will samsung offer after january 30th?
The price gap between these two phones is huge. OnePlus emerges as a winner as far as the worth every penny is concerned.
S24 Ultra. Flat screen. 120fps 4k. And overall excellent performance. No phone is perfect. But my pick for 2024 is the titanium violet S24 Ultra.
If money is no object the S24 Ultra is a no brainer. But the $500 difference is crazy.
OnePlus 12 sounds more balanced when it comes to the speakers
Much better bass on oneplus
As an Apple user. I’m torn between the Pixel Pro, S24u and OP12. I like the price of the OP and the actual usage of the phone is such an amazing experience. Pixel experience is nice coupled with the Camera. Simplest use of Android. Which is a good thing. And Samsung being the Bentley of them all.
I really want to go back to Android as I’m tired of being bound by a damn blue bubble. 😩
I feel you man. Got tired with apple too
Did samsung tone down the popping colors this year?
The square camera bump looked so much better on the OnePlus 10pro
I agree, I also liked the one on the 9 Pro as well, not a fan of the round camera trend on Asian phones
The square looked like a shit, as well as the op 11 they looked so ugly, this op 12 looks awesome
I've 10 pro and it's nice, but round one on OP 12 has quality look tbh, I grew to like it a lot

Devil may cry peak combat
The op 12 stomps the s24 and s24+ an goes toe to toe with ultra been rocking with op since the 9 pro and they always deliver an absolute banger of a device and experience!!!
The fact that these two phones even compare to one another given the price difference is extremely embarrassing for Samsung. The fact that OnePlus does some things better than the Samsung, which is almost double the price, is the nail in the coffin for the S24. This is what happens when you stop innovating and don't respect your customers enough to even include a charger in the box of the your most expensive flagship.
In terms of pre-ordering, I would definitely choose S24 Ultra. Pre-order OP12 512 GB = 1000 euro in NL - Preorder S24 ULTRA 512GB = 986 euro!
I'm a OP user since the OP6t series till now with a OP10pro. Really regret getting the 10pro. I have that phone for 2 years now. Way too many bugs!
Hmmm, i pre ordered the s24 ultra upgrading from the s21 ultra but I'm thinking i may have to cancel my order. I'm really leaning towards this One plus 12 🤔
I really liked my OnePlus 7 pro, but they really let me down with updates. I bought it at launch, but after a meagre 1,5 years there was nothing, not even security. I think you should at least have 3 years of full updates.
You didn't mention that this week it was an update that OnePlus is updating their ai
nice review, well done
In my country op and s24 ultra has a price difference less than 250$.
Is it better to by s24 ultra or op?

Would have picked the one plus twelve if it did 4k60 on the ff cam and 4k30 cinematic mode on both cams.
OnePlus 12,definitely outperforms. Better camera and larger sensors. Best screen in a phone in the world. Largest vibration motor. Fastest battery charging of 100 watts per second. Fastest wireless charging of 50 watts. The screen is used while wet without problems. X7 chip to raise the resolution of games and movies. Best stereo speaker. Best battery and largest battery in Phone, 4K front camera, the smoothest system and the best user experience. You know that..

The 24 Ultra is way more expensive and isnt far apart from thr OP12.

Great video, only 1 thing, I just checked the price online and it's 849 for the 256 and 899 for the 512, the s24 ultra is 1249 i believe for the 512, so it's more like 50% more expensive rather than 100 percent. Granted there is the 100dolar deal, but Samsung is offering a free watch 6 worth 289.
I'd say if you were gna go for the s24 plus, maybe the oneplus is a better choice for a similar price, if the ai features are meaningless to you, for me however, having an 8 gen 3 with pixel style ai features is the holy grail.
Yeah, in Canada, with trade in value, for me it's $30 more for s24+ than OnePlus 12, or $750 more for ultra.
The major deal breaker for me with OnePlus devices has always been the inferior camera. That might be a problem this time around again. But the pricing is insanely competitive. Haven't said that about a OnePlus phone since the very first few OnePlus phones. It seems like they're going back to the "better value for money" strategy instead of increased profit margins.
@revirdkcalb For me it's the cameras and the software. I had the oneplus 8 pro because it had superior specs compared to the s20 ultra and was cheaper. But I came from a note 9 and small things were missing. Like a gif maker built into the editing software among other things.
So as soon as the s22 ultra dropped I went back to samsung.
Worked at xiaomi for a but and their phones just d9nt quite cut it.
Software is buggy, specs are over exaggerated, but they do charge fast.
And iphone is just iphone, won't be going down that rabbit hole.
So for me it has to be s24 ultra or just keep my s22 ultra.
I'm call of duty mobile for the Galaxy s24 ultra how high can you pump up the graphics until you can't run it at 120 FPS? Ultra
Perfect video! I was waiting for one plus, then the Samsung dropped and it made me 🤩 so i pre-ordered, but now i might cancel 😭
Isn't the OnePlus 12 competing with the regular S24, not the Ultra? You're comparing an $800 phone to a $1300 so I would hope the $500 price difference would make it a better phone. The regular S24 is the same price, I want to see those two compared.
cause a sheep will react more if you compare it to the highest device , "$500 dollar difference but not so much difference i would rather" while in reality they cant even afford both usually the one commented this use 200-300 dollar phone
@@havoc2810so true😂.

In the long run for me, S24 Ultra. Because it will have 7 years of OS update support. Within those updates, big AI features will obv come and since Samsung is providing this many years of update, it's obviously a strong smartphone.

OnePlus, love the UI. Got the Z fold 4 now and it will be my last Samsung because there is so much baked in apps from Samsung that I don't like, one plus is much cleaner what I prefer.
Im a Gaming person and OS person, 799 vs 1299, equal/super close benchmarks, same Processor, same performance on Genshin impact, Oneplus with 4500 nits and Aqua Touch, that can differentiate between water drops and your finger.

You know the pixel 8 pro has ai right? And they're mostly all the same ai features as the new galaxy phones? Pretty sure they've already announced bringing the circle search to them too lol
Too bad the processor of the Pixel 8 Pro is just "meh". These AI features will work faster on more capable hardware.
@@03chrisv I don't disagree with you. I had the pixel 8 pro for a day then returned it because of how poor the battery was and the performance for gaming on the phone. I'm just saying it's wild he said that no other phones have ai like the Samsung does when it's not even the first to do it lmao
@ryanfloyd9193 I think what he should have said is that S24 is the only phone to do these AI features consistently well. It takes a lot of processing power to run these AI features, just as much as playing games.
Like to see a charging temperature difference.
I'm from Australia, and the deals out this way for a new s24 Ultra are really good, especially when trading in an old phone. I put in an order for the s24 Ultra with a student discount. It cost $1,169.71 (Au) which is $770.60 (US). on top of that, it gets 1 year Free Samsung care, $150 credit at their store, and a free upgrade to 512 GB of storage. The OnePlus 12 is impressive for its price, but at the Samsung prices for a pre-order, it was hard to pass up. To be fair, I had to trade in my S21 Ultra (eBay here they sell as low as $330 (au) second hand being $217(US). I think the Samsung is a better phone with better images (particularly with the zoom), the AI features are really good, then add in the upgrade and extra goodies I got from the store, it was not an overly hard choice.
I think if you are going to get the Samsung however, you seriously need to pre-order now whilst you still can to get the best value.
due to the 7 years soft and sec updates, the AI features and the camera quality, I just bought the S24U.

but everything else One plus easily crush and you misses on all of that.
Also you said that both the galaxy S24 ultra and OP+12 are both really good in speakers lijke those are similar? Are you serious the ONE+12 sounds way better, i can easily spot that the Galaxy barely has any bass and yet you say the speakers sound are more rounded compare to the one's on the ONE+12 what?
I'd say the decision of who won or which is better depends on what you're willing to spend. Overall I'd say the Oneplus is better value for money, however I would (and kinda have) pick the S24 ultra...
The S24U is double the price but we're not getting double the value
The Oneplus 12 costs €1000 here in the EU and I can get the s24 ultra for €1150 with no trade in
@@ocanica3184 The regular S24 or S24 plus is a better buy vs One Plus 12. You get all the features of the ultra at the same time 7 years of OS support and Security support.
@@100christian8 Really? I'm from EU also, but we don't even have the OnePlus 12 anywhere... yet anyway. But where can you get S24 Ultra for €1150? :D I need to know!
@@100christian8In most eu countries 1+12 is 950 € for 12/256.
iPhone and Samsung starts at 1400€ for same space.
Saying that there is difference between single core cpu score but saying diff. Between multicore score is very very small when the diff is 59 vs 60 respectively makes little sense...
The thing is 3verything in the OP12 is good despite the camera and support. Forget the support but the camera is not as good BUT for the money definitely worth it
New subscriber here 😊
I got the OnePlus 11... I will be getting the 12 also... it's a great phone for the price...for a regular user like me it's enough....and basically none of my friend has OnePlus phones....they all got the same phones...😂😂😂😂😂 I like to be different
I think really the only thing that's better about the S24 Ultra is the camera and design other than that, they're neck and neck.
OP 12 for a price with almost same spec.. but if you like those features offered by s24.. you will pay some extra bucks..
That's why I chose to pre-order the S24U. It may not be the best at benchmark scores, but they only tell part of the story. For me, I don't like things which perform best, in one portion of their existence. I much prefer things which perform great, in all aspects.. A Swiss army knife, if you will.
I regret to inform you that the S24 Ultra is not a swiss army knife
@@DiamondBor I regret to inform you that, if you would like to share any other phone on the market with an S Pen/Stylus which can perform tasks on and off the screen of said phone? is a better Swiss Army Knife? Then please go right ahead and correct me. And that's just one feature I mentioned.
I go for a Flat Display, sleek & beautiful which would be the S24 Ultra 🤟
I require a large screen possibly 1T
Out of the box results are not representative of real use. Play games and use the phone fully for a full day, then check heat dissipation, speed comparison etc...
Pixelworks for one plus. I guess they forgot to mention this for gaming.
Your S24U synthetic tests are a lot lower than mine and other reviews also.
So the performance is almost identical.
I dont care about AI (for now).
From what i understand the camera is a bit better on the S24 Ultra.
So does it make sense to get the s24 ultra over the oneplus 12 because of those camera difference, considering that 600 dollars difference ?
In my country the price difference is less than 250$ is it better to buy s24 ultra?
@@user-lr6kp8ns7x The s24 is an absolutely phenomenal phone that does literally everything with AAA quality. It has the best screen available, and the best battery life (i go with 3 days easy ... i just talk on it).
I would have definitely pick the one plus 12 if I did not get the s24u for $609 Cad.
please don't let me stop you from sharing your secrets
