The title is amazing. "Some place we called home", it's like a war survivor telling the story of your game in retrospect, and referring to the place they lived in.
This War of Mine is one of the most emotional games I've played. It is too realistic, recreating the horrors of the Sarajevo Siege (Pogoren in-game). I couldn't help myself not crying. My mom left Bosnia before the war, just one day before the war. I consider her lucky. Let's hope no war will come soon...

Damn, almost 6 years and this is still one of the best game-soundtrack music I have ever heard...It captures the atmosphere so well....A survivor stuck in the middle of a war, I can't even imagine...yet it's the truth for a lot of people around the world...Syria, some part of Ukraine, these are just the most recent/televised ones...And the problem is, this will not stop anytime soon, even though we think we have gotten past the point of humanity's atrocious wars, the truth is, the most likely way humanity will dissapear is by self termination...To quote Albert Einstein: “So long as there are men, there will be wars.” and also "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
I really cant bring myself to play the game no longer. It's to heart-arching for me to play. Every time I return in the morning I hear my friends lose hope. I hear their cries for food and the shelling of mortars in the distance. It breaks my heart even more to know about the backgrounds of some of the people I play as. They had their time in the spotlight but that no longer matters though because the war took away everything from them. Jesus man...fuck the war honestly.
We are all so used to war based games that actually playing a game from the other sides point of view, the pov of the civilians trapped inside, that makes this game especially hit hard on one's own feelings. In one game you laugh as you bomb a city, here, you cry, for you have to live to you best attempt in a city that has been destroyed
this music is truly 1 of the very best u will ever hear in a game..never has pain been si sweet and beautiful...its almost like war pain becomes tangible to us as if poetry in motion...though i would recommend u all to hear the original music as in youtube quality is a bit lessened....

This game lets me understand what the fuck people go through overseas, in Syria and the middle east. What the hell the germans and the french went through in the shelling of their cities and towns. Seirously. Fuck the war.
