Resyncing More Yakuza Dynamic Intros (Plus a Couple Bonus Syncs)

- Just like last time, some slight (or sometimes more than slight) tweaks to some of the dynamic intros to boss fights across the series to make the music sync better with the main impact of the intro (text or otherwise). Also, just 2 (and a half) bonus edits this time. Read the pinned comment for FACTS.

If there was a boss fight you didn't see in this video, it's probably because I did it already. Big fat spoilers for Kiwami 2, Yakuza 6, Judgment and Lost Judgment. BTW the Joon-gi Han one I just picked the final fight against him because all three would've essentially been the same. Probably could've done the second because that's the most interesting but I had a recording of the last one on hand with no music lol.

I find it funny that the fight us just two middle aged men fighting in a warehouse but the music sounds like a battle for the cosmos
These were all awesome to see, but that final one with Lost Judgment gave me actual chills. The flashbacks not only made that banger of a theme, Unwavering belief, sync up even better, but also add just a bit more emotional punch to the conflict at hand. Rewatched that scene alone at least 5 times

That last one is literally exactly what I thought they should do. The music syncs so extremely well with the cuts
I sorta based it off the cutscene after the fight because it shows what Kuwana was thinking, but yeah it would've been way better if they showed what was going through his head before the fight

The music from Ryu ga gotoku studio games are literally made to sync with the gameplay. It's a big shame that most of the time they don't sync the dynamic intros. Glad we have you to do that tho ^^
Thank you :) and Lost Judgment came very close a few times but they started playing the music slightly too early or slightly too late. Like the Akutsu one was almost exactly like how I had it but just BARELY off, so they're getting better

I literally synced the music to just kick in with the text and everything else was so perfect without me touching it that it makes me wonder why RGG Studio didn’t just do that originally lol

Another idea to make the last one more impactful is at 8:15 , if that scene also potray Yagami's side of the view ; when Kuwana's first view is Sawa-sensei's lifeless corpse , for Yagami , that's the last thing he thinks off. The first one should be from his several first cases
Yup that will be cool... Add okubo shinpei false crime, emi terasawa death and matsugane death...

My favorite is the Higashi boss fight, Higashi driving the forklift (by far the best I’ve ever seen in lost judgment) and the kuwana boss fight. Just having flashbacks before the fight was a nice touch. It really does remind of yakuza kiwami on how during the boss fight with nishiki. Great job bro keep it up

They did my boy Akiyama SO dirty in Y6. Plot-wise, he should've been the 2nd protagonist 😩
It truly is one of the biggest L's I think RGG Studio ever copped when they didn't recognise the sheer sexiness of Akiyama. But also yeah dumb that he was a protagonist for the previous two games in the timeline then just gets demoted to NPC lol
I’m fine with Akiyama being an npc in 6. Can’t have him possibly taking the spotlight from Kiryu in his final game.
The real crime here is Akiyama not being in 7/LAD.

You could mute the music in Judgment by turning on Spotify on PlayStation because that mutes the music in game
OH MY GOD YOU'RE RIGHT. I wish someone told me this ages ago :( but I suppose it doesn't matter all too much because I need to have HDCP disabled to record, but I need HDCP enabled to play Spotify. If I want to make the footage look nice I'll probably have to layer two separate recordings on top of each other but it's better than nothing. Thank you for this knowledge though it will definitely help me out in the future

The Koshimizu one syncs so perfectly that it almost makes me feel the cutscene was intended to be that way. Kiryu's punch perfectly syncs up with the pause in the music, the zoom in on his and Koshimizu's faces both line up with a note, it's perfect

I haven't finished LJ yet so I won't watch all of them, but MAN, the Higashi one was ABSOLUTELY SAVAGE, and same with Kanji Koshimizu. Those two were so damn good, but as I say, I can't comment on the LJ ones yet... I'll comment back here when I finish the game.

Alright I just finished the game and damn, these were sick. The sync with the last boss fight was absolutely insane. All those scenes before Kuwana threw the phone were absolutely amazing. Well done man.
I never realized that the subtitles are different for the language dubs til now.
Yeah but I think it's only in properly animated cutscenes. So those dialogue cutscenes with the basic animations and stuff I don't think are different but it's a nice touch that I noticed they did for Like a Dragon too (and I think OG Judgment)
I appreciate the effort to really try and fine tune these little things, I don't really see why it should be criticised so hard. At the end of the day I think both this and the vanilla experience are great in their own rights. Especially in that last one, I really like how in the actual game the mainline kicks in at the moment you take control, but your version is an absolutely brilliant tribute to Kuwana and just the entire story in general in just a matter of extra seconds. Editing really can make or break it and I've said it before, you really know the nuances.

I finally was able to watch the entire video since I just finished Lost Judgement, and holy shit that was good. Kuwana's one just hit so fucking hard, but not as hard as Higashi drove that forklift into that door.
