At some point, someone who was using Tinder has probably missed out on a good time because they swiped left when they meant to swipe right or vice versa.
That could be said about any decision in life
This isn't even really a horror story, but I once matched with this really cute guy. We were talking for a while and I wanted to see the 2018 Halloween movie with him.
Well, one day, he asked if we could hang out and I asked if we could talk on the phone first. He ghosted me right after that. My mom thinks maybe they're a girl who wants revenge on me or a guy I turned down in the past.
For context, this person was in the same city as me.
I have never used a dating app. Including my husband, every boyfriend I have ever had I met in person and courted the old fashioned way.
This video makes me really glad that I have never used a dating app before.
Eventually met up with a dating app guy at a local coffee shop. We got coffee, he excused himself to go get his cell phone; I watched him through the café window at his car, he was talking to someone. He came back in, put his phone on the table, we chatted some more, he got a message, he texted back, (happened a few times) and I unobtrusively read the messages he had while his gaze roamed around. Apparently he was constantly updating someone on what I looked like, where we were, etc. Once coffee was finished, I politely said goodbye and wandered into a busier area with lots of people around; I noticed him trying to find me again, so I kept behind a post. Waited until he'd definitely left before going to my car and taking a circuitous route home. Creepy.
That first one is disturbing!!!!
On the 28th of January (LITERALLY 8 DAYS AGO) I matched with someone who seemed super sweet. We were talking about video games & a whole bunch of stuff and he asked me if I'd be willing to see a movie with him later that day. We ended up seeing the remake of the OG Godzilla that came out last year. It was in black & white & was in japanese & WAS THE COOLEST! (Yes i am a nerd about remaking vintage movies whilst staying true to the OG storyline). He paid for our tickets & while I was getting myself popcorn and a drink I asked him if he wanted something and he said that he was just gonna get himself a small fountain drink. If you can't tell what ended up happening, he left to "go to the bathroom" about 40 minutes into the 2 hour movie & just never returned. I was so focused on the movie that i genuinely didn't realize he never came back (that's how awesome this movie is). I walked out of the theatre room & asked the front desk lady if the guy I came in with left & she told me had left over an hour before. He blocked my number & unmatched me but honestly idgaf because here's what I got out of it vs what he got out of it:
Me: Free ticket to see an awesome movie that I woulda probably never seen otherwise & a pretty sweet convo about video games. Only spent $15.
Him: Convo about video games, drove 1.5 hours both ways to see the movie, spent at least $50 due to 1) the tickets, 2) the fast food he got himself on the way & 3) the gas. He also lost the chance to know someone pretty cool lol
So I think I win. Also for clarification, HE chose to do the drive. He asked me out for the date. He knew the distance. lol
I am confused, why did he leave? He payed for things so its not like he was trying to get a free ride to watch a movie for free.

How are you doing sweetie? How are you feeling? I hope just wonderful!! In the very first story, if my date ever would've done something like that then that's the end of the date right then there because that is just so foul and completey wrong. Did she even wash her hands afterwards? I love the both of my dogs too, but not enough to pick up their poop withy my bare hands. In the second story, he was actually the real one who liked you. I have heard plenty of stories about this; as a matter of fact, they made a tv show strictly devoted to catfishing. In the third story, that has got to be the most awkward thing in the world, but at least he got reconnected with is second cousin through that dating app. In the fourth story, this man is just very lonely to endure and go through something like this. He should've automatically left the date once she started talking about her past addictions. In the fifth story, even though she didn't have any teeth I bet she was a really nice person thoiugh. In the sixth story, I have had this very same exact thing happen to me too on a date. It is completely obvicious to see that you're not even listening to me and you're basically calling me boring because you're on your phone. In the seventh story, this right here is a perfect example of you live and you learn. I love you!! Have a great day!! Stay safe!!
