I clearly remember the Historic DUBPLATE Battles JAH SHAKA had with Fatman hifi & SIR COXONE That was the greatest Sound system era ever !!!! p.s. how come David Rodigan gets an MBE for music and JAH SHAKA & COXONE get nothing ??? (FIX )
@@triangleboy5446 you know your stuff I worked behind the bar in Phebes till it was called Willows and the Trendz....those were the good old days nuff of the original sound man have not got recognition as you said only David Rodigan who also played in Phebes as a guest DJ....late 70s and 80s was history in the making...for sound system.. respect to you man . And for the record I'm female not Sir lol 🤣
@@doneatta Salute and Peace to you Sister, I would "NOT" change my childhood memories of that 70-80's Sound system era for anything that is around today. Our Generation was filled with racial pride & knowledge of our Ancestors. ( not like today's youth culture???)
from 1977 / write up to 83 /that's when South London took over North London Hackney fat man sound and Trinity was not happy about JAH SHAKA taking North London the way they did
Yep no version on the 12. Shaka was dropping this from black steel for at least 12 months before release...it was known as Revelation originally (before delroy voiced lovers vocals on the riddim). I believe the tune is a Sowell Radics business as is Babylon Walls, which Shaka also rinsed for ages before release and was originally entitled Prophecy. Murderous tunes and only Shaka had the killer pieces, separate style as he used to say.
@@rusirani2731 I missed this reply. ... this dub made a big impression on me as a young man. I remember thinking 'this is the heaviest Shaka dub I ever heard'. I used to do that 2-3 times per session in the early days if I'm honest. I remember even tho we had loads of tapes, this wasn't on any of them.
A rite’s of passage . Blessed those who witnessed and heard the Zulu Warrior. In session . never to be forgotten the messenger JAH SHAKA 🙏
Who remembers Friday nites at Phebes nite club Jah Shacka..all nite till all 10am in the morning..those were the days...
