Oof, rough start with the haste break but you really pulled it back, nice one!

Funny thing about the Daylight spell is that in 5e RAW it is actually not sunlight , it is just "bright light" (primary use seems to be dispelling magical darkness)
To get real sunlight to punish sunlight sensitive creatures would require the 5th level spell Dawn, 6th level Sunbeam, or 8th level Sunburst
I'm wondering if Larian overlooked this or made the change intentionally.

I do know of this discrepancy. I have seen that some people really like this change, and some people don't. I am not familiar with all the dnd rules myself but, personally, I like the change. Because those other spells (except sunbeam) are not available and daylight can only be used this way in one fight. How do you feel about this difference?

@@zalzeera I only caught onto this because I am currently running a Curse of Strahd campaign and practically EVERYTHING in that campaign is sunlight sensitive including the BBEG.
After my party got 3rd level spells and the Cleric could put up daylight suddenly encounters that should of been very challenging were not with this spell was dealing 30-100 damage per round, no save, and all my rolls are now crap. I would think "Okay, just have to break his concentration" then when I asked for concentration saves he would remind IT'S NOT EVEN CONCENTRATION. There are several key legendary magic items in that campaign that allow the player to wield sunlight as well, and it just totally invalidated those items. Finally I put 2 and 2 together and realized that Daylight is literally just a tool to remove magical darkness, which I've never really used as a DM anyway because it's confusing as hell and there aren't a lot of solutions to it that feel creative or smart (who wants to fumble around in the dark?)
In BG3 I think it is much less impactful and overall most players probably won't think to use it for this fight in my opinion. So it's probably fine as it is in BG3

@@colink6497 Ok yes I 100% get it. Curse of Strahd would be a terrible place for this change. I was reading up curse of strahd and descent into avernus, to figure out which one I want to run for my friends, so I get you. Having daylights being spammed everywhere would trivialise the encounters.
Although, and this is an evil dm moment - you could do a bloodborne type thing and make the night even darker. Like in bloodborne after you kill an enemy, the night goes from midnight to blood moon, you could do the same thing and make the daylight spell less effective. So either they can avoid using daylight, or they can use daylight and after some time very strong enemies will spawn. These new enemies are immune to daylight. This is what I had thought of doing anyway if I kept this change.

@@zalzeera They are getting near the end and a blood moon definitely sounds like a nice way to up the intensity and indicate that Strahd is not playing games with them anymore. I've never played Bloodborne but it definitely sounds promising , thank you for the suggestion

how do you have 25AC? You have 20 from armor, 1 from cloak of protection, 1 from wondorous gloves, 1 from ring of protection, 1 from baldurian helmet. Should total to 24 AC, Where is the 1 AC to complete 25 coming from?

My guess is, since he had already started the blight animation that blocked him from starting the cutscene, but idk. He has grabbed Astarion from this distance in tactician.

Cazador has been patched and unpatched so many times I have lost track of what he is supposed to do. My usual strat has been to throw random bullshit at him till he dies. I will have to think about this better, on my warlock run.
