- On this episode we review a watch roll that was put on my radar a while back, that I've finally been able to get my hands on. Carapaz have really nailed it, in my opinion. From design to build quality, these flat bottom rolls are just about perfect. Sure, you'll find similar options both above and below in price but these are honestly a cut above in one way or another regardless of price. Depending on your watch budget, may view these rolls with a different lens in terms of value per dollar but it's hard to deny the level of design and execution involved here. The blue version with sapphire 12hr bezel
Just received my Fairwind with the suede strap yesterday and all I did was put on all the straps I bought for it over the months waiting. The lugs make it a such a strap monster! Got the blue with the stainless steel bezel. You are right, this watch should be twice the price..maybe..but I'm not complaining haha

So many companies advertise materials as genuine leather but they later specify in smaller print, it is PU Leather (PolyUrethane finished). Have you determined this case is honestly finished leather?

Nice review. Carapaz vs Everest vs Bosphorus seems to be where I'm at now in the mid-tier ($300-400ish) range. With what these offer, I don't feel the need to go higher ($600-1000+) based on my modest collection. Mirage, if I want to go lower (not counting the super-low-end Amazon stuff). I like the double-slot form factor of the Carapaz, and although not a deal breaker, I generally prefer the slots over snaps for retention. Also like the "M" shaped pillows vs the standard pillow shape.
The case is nicer than the watches

While the Everest is still a top notch option, I prefer the Carapaz. It's just more sleek and innovative, while still being equally as well executed. Although I will say that I do slightly prefer the overall more robust outer silhouette of the Everest rolls.

What colour is your halios? It looks blue but I thought that variant came with the orange hand, not mint green?
The one featured is the grey dial, the one I have on preorder is the blue dial but I'm waiting to receive once the production clasp is ready

It says designed in Switzerland so they are playing with words which most likely means Made in the Peoples Republic of China.
The company is from Switzerland but the products are entirely manufactured in Europe.
