I really like Todd as a character. I feel like hes a realistic depiction of a psychopath. Hes not an overly diabolic, sadistic monster like most movie psychos. He just doesnt have a conscience...... at all. And whenever hes backed into a corner hes ready to do ANYTHING to protect himself. And hes not gonna feel remorse or guilt about it.
El Camino really delves into the psyche of his character, much more than Breaking Bad did. It was super interesting to see.
SPOILERS
When his maid found his money, he honestly didn’t want to kill her, as he said to Jesse, nor did he derive any pleasure from the act. But at the same time, he didn’t hesitate. In his mind, there was no other alternative, it had to be done, so why feel bad about it?
On top of that, he has a weird fucked up relationship with Jesse. You can tell Todd had a great deal of respect for him, being the main reason they kept him alive in the first place. He acts as if they’re buddies, drinking beer and eating pizza in the desert after burying the maid. I think in his own messed up, demented mind, he probably thought Jesse and him were friends.
@@fro_e Spoilers
And not glamourised, as Hollywood often does with psychopathic characters. He's not presented as a cool, dark, edgy, scary lord of death - he's just clearly damaged. There's something not functioning in this man.
"The banality of evil" fits him perfectly.
@Julmor , not a psychopath. Todd is a sociopath. There's a difference.
24:59 “This next episode is the 7th one?”
Walter: “You’re goddamn right.”
**SPOILER**
@@LGuiilhermee they’re ahead on Patreon
Apparently the song that Walt was whistling was called “Lilly of the Valley”
@A Ryzen Serbia
Well there's something I never knew. Jezus, Walt knew he was listening. It's like he was taunting him. Either that or his sick twisted mind was just reminded about poisoning Brock after that kid. Somehow... fondly
@@theunderdog9353 no he just doesn't care anymore
@@theunderdog9353 Walter is based.
@@StickManVS Walter is pilled.
Todd is literally the exact opposite of Jesse. He takes orders without ever fighting back, he is incredibly gentle and kind in his demeanor, and he has no fucking heart whatsoever. And since I guess you could say guilt is the main thing Jesse deals with throughout the show, he has no remorse at all either.
As a person from a country with a LOT of “missing people” I can tell you, finding the body does matter
In mexico the lost are all dead . The bodies just havent been found . Buried or burnt. Sad reality of this god forsaken country full of misery and violence but i still love it for all its faults
actor that plays Todd, i think is underrated.
He does a great job at the part.
I love Todd's character.
walter would never quit until he could math grey matter, its the grey area in all his judgement calls as well.
I think Walter was affected by death of the kid(wasn't happy about it and even sad), but he as always just focused on moving on and in the end of exectly that day he was even more cold and callous
@Kaladins yes he cares but doesn't mean he has to act like a mess like Jesse
@@kaladins4272Thats not true. Even from the start of rhe show walt always had 2 personalities to him and even in season 5 there are times he still has the walter white personality to him
Walter cares at first he didn't want the kid to die but like all the deaths that has happened Walter numbs himself Justifies it and moves forward but it eats a little bit at him and he doesn't even know that with every death it has hardened his heart
2:24 "Time to fucking reflect, Todd"
Yea, Todd doesn't do that.
I have just been binging your breaking bad reactions, they're so good LMAO I reacted the same way (and jesse is my favorite too, I love to see it)
walt is definitely the danger 🤣 everyone who slept on him is either dead with him or doing as he asked while alive, talk about last wishes.
22:58 it's incredible the amount of self-torture a person will inflict and endure to escape a bad situation.
Actually I think Walt would have made a lot of money for his family working at Grey Matter. Certainly more than he was as a school teacher. They were gonna pay for the chemo, so most of his actual salary would have been free legal money to spoil his family with. But he wanted to be important more than he wanted to provide for his family so he chose this path
Except that offering the job itself was an act of charity at least in Walt's eyes. They didnt think about him all those years and now when he got cancer they offered him a job. I think it just angered Walt towards them.
What kind of men will let other men pay for his treatment..99 percent of men will do what walter did . asking money, especially to the people who u already have bad blood is crazy..let me ask u one question after u get married n have kids will u let another men take care of your family if u are sick??? Grow up even u would choose what walter did...as a men we want our hard money for our family not someone else's money..mayb3 u are not man and u dont see the world as it is..its not his ego its just how mens are.
@@maskedyoloYou’ve literally just explained toxic egotism. Look at your example. That is a man prioritising his own pride over the well-being of his family, just like Walt is doing. The entire show is about how destructive pride and ego can be.
That dinner scene is perfect. I felt for Jesse in that moment for sure, so cringe. :)
congrats on 100k
100,000+ subs nice
That dinner scene is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show!!!
it almost feels like a crossover
You predicting things and you being surprised by things are both great elements of these reactions.
i agree! they are so immersed in all the shows they react to! they're always active reactors, never really idle and i love that.
You mix that with one of the best shows ever=😍
Sometime I wonder if they watched the shows before
I wish they wouldn't keep talking through every single scene. They used to react to the show now they spend the whole show trying to guess the next scene
They already watched breaking bad u fool
Damnit, I wish I noticed earlier that you have full video reactions on patreon. I'm really impressed at how the two of you bright and beautiful ladies can pick up on things so easy, and pretty much figure out what is going to happen...all the while talking during pretty much the whole thing lol. That's kind of impressive. At first I was like "please stop talking, you're going to miss important stuff"...but you two don't miss a thing. 👍
Edit: Is there a certain level of patreon membership that has the full reaction vids, or is it any level?
"Teenagers, sometimes you just want to strangle them"
Foreshadowing
this moment 16:58 was everyone's happy ending rip
the dinner scene is a description of my family
This is what sets Breaking Bad apart, touches like showing Walt has no guilt over the kid. A dumb show would have him growl in some dramatic scene with heavy music "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THAT KID JESSE!" and Jesse would probably smash something on the floor in anger. But they are so genius, the people behind this show, that they communicated in so subtly but ironically so much more powerfully (and naturally) by having him whistle a jolly tune without a care in the world
So much for Mike's "no half measures"
Mike's soft spot for Jesse & Jesse's faith in Walter, a deadly combination
You're perfect, I really love your reactions, well done for the 100k.
Also, Jesse coming to the final realisation that this world is not for him was what I was expecting forever in this show
Walter is wearing eye glasses which he can use to cut the tie but he decided to injure himself.
12:25 this whistle is from the music lily of the valley - queen. coincidence?
No one even knew that until the writer of the show said it. I hate commenters pointing it out as if “oh look at me I told you what this means” there is no coincidence the show confirmed in s5 p1 Walt poisoned the kid.
@Mickey Mouse you are right. It is good to spread knowledge about little known facts. It’s this poster way of saying “coincidence?” As if it’s easily identifiable that rubbed me wrong.
@@israymervalentin-arias6313 go to sleep militant
Walter is the meme of “oh noo… anyways”
If you do love Walter and i do in a small way its because that he is making his decisions and choices where 50 years of his life he did not, he was a pushover, he let things happen to him. So in that regard i love him. In terms of what he did (Jane/ Brock/mental abuse of Skylar/manipulation of Jesse etc) morally i am not on board
Without the manipulation of Jesse, Jesse would have died several times. And Gus forced Walt to manipulate jesse even more, because jesse was so weak willed he let him easily be manipulated by Gus. If Jesse would have stayed loyal to Walt even half as much as Walt was to Jesse, a lot of the bad shit wouldn't have happened. Thats why i think that exscuses Walts manipulation a bit.
With the rest i agree with you though. Even if the Mental abuse of Skylar wasn't something Walt was conscious about until she told him last Episode, and he never did something against his family, it still doesn't exscuse him.
5:13 "Walt is not a psychopath, he is gonna be affected by it." LOL, Nope.
He was. You are talking about Heisenberg. Dont get them mixed up.
@@danieljackson4511 Walter died in the Crawl space one season earlier.
@@turboklanias9626 No? Watch the final episode of season 5.
@@danieljackson4511 First of all, careful with revelations. Secondly, what I meant is that by the moment Gus threatened Walt's family, he "died" in crawl space to ascend as Heisenberg.
@@turboklanias9626 And i say he didnt die because Heisenberg would not have been able to perform the way Walter did in the final episodes.
next episode has one of the most badass monologues of the show.
I'm convinced there is like some crew of downvoters out here waiting on their keyboard to downvote an LM reaction when it comes up.. .why, why again does this video instantly have 10 downvotes? Are you guys upset these two are perceptive enough to catch onto plot lines? predict small moments because they are paying attention and understand scripts and television? because someone commented to me last time saying "Some people think they have already seen the show" ...so other than that I don't get it because these are great reactions. Go try and watch some of these BB reactions out there, see how those are compared to this.
It is not fake , it is their first watch through they are great watchers, they catch on pretty fast, depends on peoples persona, some people need time to catch on.
@Tango Crunch Walt is in the right . No need to troll for that. You people act like school kids like you're picking teams
@Tango Crunch Considering most of what goes sour is due to Jesse being an emotional mess throughout the show, the criticism is fair. Giving the circumstances Walt is right 90% of the time
Emmy trivia: Aaron Paul got nominated for this episode, and lost to Boardwalk Empire's Robert Cannavale.
From here on out every episode is legendary
Please react to The Shield after Breaking Bad. Vic Mackey is my second favorite villain with Walter White.
The shield is great but it might be a bit niche for these guys. It is a great show though, one of the first of its kind.
@@SilverSnark Don't think so but it is up to them, I only know that one guy who reacted to it but he doesn't have much attraction as a sub 3k channel.
"How about... he just doesn't? Is that an option?" xD
"I'm in the empire business" one of my faves
"It's him or us" that was actually said by Jesse in season 2 when he bought a gun to kill Tuco.
And by Walter too many times, with Gale and with Gus.
And yet Tuco was a druglord indeed planning on kidnapping Walt and killing Jesse, he had very few in common with just a random kid passing by. Jesse in season 2 was rather calling the cops on a neglected kid, be it a crime scene involving him, be it a risk for the kid or his mom to hint at him.
The show got darker season after season, I believe Todd (as another young follower but with f*ed up code) serves as a dark mirror and a foil for Jesse
Another great vid.🤣😆
Y'know your season 5 eps aren't in your BB playlist??👁️

I'd suggest you stop reading comments from now until the end. People tend to say what the 'big' episodes are before they happen. Even though they don't say what happens; knowing what episodes are big is a bit of a spoiler in itself.
YUP. Even got ppl spoiling El Camino and BCS in a lot of the videos. Super dumb.

I saw in an interview that although it wasn’t realistically necessary for them to destroy the bike, but even so they put it because with the child it would be very bleak for the actors
hi almost at 100k
Todd is literally a psychopath that he kept the spider as a trophy for killing the kid
Jesse is a murderer but it's always "oh my baby boy" blinded by his looks and naive ways hahaha
Just realised that the fact that there's a movie kind of spoils it for the new BB viewers.

Some people are better at picking up things than the rest of us. I wish I was that good at it haha. I'm too gullible.
oh my god i forgot about the spider from the boy. dont think Ive ever seen anyone notice that he kept the spider.
Skylar is not a hostage lol. She can leave whenever she wants. Walt signed those divorce papers already but she never filed the paperwork and willingly got back with him so she could run the car wash

Love the reactions, but I'm definitely on the train that Lola has seen/knows spoilers ahead of these watch throughs. Go figure, they knew EXACTLY what Mike wrote and left for the DEA. Mike will die in episode 7, Hank will find out in episode 8...
I love the reactions, but just be straight with your viewers.
It's called being perceptive and picking up clues in the writing, you should try it sometime
@@Naahi95 so u can predict in which episode a character is gonna die before watching that season?
While watching this series, make sure to remember the title of the show. 😉
LOLOL this ^^
I will recommend that you stop looking at the comments in the next episodes...
Next episode ;)
3:28 you say that but you're not considering all angles here. What if his mother was a trooper or father works for a federal agency? The kid could have gotten home and was asked about what the kid was doing. All the kid has to say is some people waved hi at me and that's all it would take. This becomes more suspicious because they mentioned that this palce never has people around it. So if that kid's parents are law enforcement and finds out about multiple strange men that were in the area, cover is blown completely. What if they know nobody is supposed to be out there, then they would have information about a potential heist style operation. You have to think about all angles, which is why the kid had to die. Sure, you could let him live, but then you risk your cover being blown. Better to leave no witnesses.
@Tango Crunch Idk why you're asking me. It's not like I have it in me to murder someone. I'm just thinking from the perspective of these men. It's easy to see how they would want to cover their tracks. You can argue about life all you want, but that would be better for someone who values life the way you apparently do. I'm not so outraged by it because I find death to be an essential part of life.
"Im in the empire business"
The show might not say it explicitly, however enough is shown to make it clear that Walt is angry about Gretchen their relationship went sour and now she’s with his best friend and they’re both super successful and he’s an public school teacher who doesn’t get any respect. This is the issue people get salty all the time about relationships that end where there’s a misunderstanding or potentially cheating involved. I think Walt Never got over that relationship with Gretchen.
Lola needs to go to acting school, she could however open up her on school as a psychic
Next episode is probably my favorite.
Jesse vs Walt yelling no! - it’s as simple as this Jesse saw it first. And he was sure on the decision. Walt isn’t sure and is sure someone else is taking care of something morally difficult so I won’t have to. So he’s taking longer to process.
I would just watch a show about Walt doing McGyver-type shit.
Can you do peaky blinders please 🙏
I’ve watched the series like 5 times. I don’t understand how you know every thing that’s going to happen. This kind of stuff is what makes people accuse people of lying and saying they have never seen shows or movies they react to.
It's because commenters like you tell them if they are hot or cold.
LM: "I think A is going to happen."
YT: "HOW DID YOU KNOW????"
LM: "Well, now we know A is going to happen. Thanks.... I guess."
YT: "... .... .... they must be liars!"
@@MichaelM-uw3mk huh? I don’t tell anyone hot or cold ?
it's called making obvious predictions. this show is predictable. but it is still damn good.
Some people mistake being perceptive and knowing popular tv tropes and plots for not being blind to a show. If anything I don't understand why you'd even want to put time and effort in accusing them.
God people I promise you it's not that hard to predict things in tv shows, especially when you can have a discussion with somebody about it. And they get plenty of things wrong all the time.
In the next video, I hope the video quality will increase even more
We're so close to episode 8!
Next episode...
Really??
So you think Theres nothing the dead kid
could have said to Implicate them
in the Crime?? U kidding me??
How bout the fact that
the Train was just Robbed
and that would be on the News all over
and all the kid had to say was
He saw those people there at that time
Witnessed them in the act
And that would be more than enough
To raise suspicion on anyone
and prety much figure it out
especially in a situation like this
and even more so
if it involves Methylamine
So...ye...the kid was a Liability
And a Risk for them by leaving a witness.
Wrong place - Wrong time
Do i agree with it..no
But i understand why it had to be done.
Except, if you had listened to the dialogue, you would know there's no reason to suspect the train was robbed.

@@becauseofobi-wan3543 The episodes will be better than you hope they are..
I dunno, alluding to what is to come is borderline spoilery. They don't need us to tell them what to prepare for
It still baffles me to this day how some fans of the show rooted for Walt despite all the terrible things he did.
It baffles me how everybody still like Jesse or Mike when they do terrible things too
@Mickey Mouse Exactly, is that so hard to understand lmao
Because this is a TV show and people like great writing, acting and directing. And Bryan Cranston did all those things. He is a mesmerizing character and not supposed to be a real person in your eyes. If you think these actors are your best friends then that's a horrible way to watch TV. It's not a documentary. Sure, people connect with characters, but it doesn't mean if they are a terrible person in the show, that you can't like them all the same. I rooted for Walt until the end. And it's why I love this show.
It's all preference. Personally I always rooted for Jesse and Mike (and later Hank), even tho they're not perfect either and they do horrible things. But I love their characters and personalities so I try to understand them and even justify their actions. Walter fans do the same.
@@jonava4077 lol I guess there are different levels. But the show was always about Walt and his turn so it seems right that we as the audience would eventually turn on Walt since I’m pretty sure that was Gilligan’s whole intent from the word Go.
What sickening and distasteful images to expose people to. Who would write such a scene as to show a child being dissolved in a barrel after being murdered? Those kind of images darken people's souls.
Public executions used to be day long, family affairs. Snacks and toys were sold, pre kill entertainment booked (singers, fools, fighting, animal tricks). Then the brutal torture deaths of the condemned to cap off the long day. Fun for the whole family!
Nowadays at least its all fiction.
The brilliance of that scene is that you specifically *don’t* see the child dismembered and dissolved in a barrel. By showing the bike instead, everything is implied without having to show one drop of blood.
It's almost like the show is written to portray the detriment of morality.
You guys really need to stop judging Walt so much while giving Mike a pass. Mike was in the wrong here but you give him excuses
What are you talking about? They said they didn't like Mike forcing Walter to sell his share.
What does it matter anyway? Aren't we all allowed to think what we want about the show and characters? It's not like there's one "right way" of interpreting what's happening onscreen.
@@justjdnl Yes and I'm allowed to think How I want and I think they have been hating on Walt while giving a pass to Mike and Jesse
@@Naahi95 they said that yes but they also keep giving Mike and Jesse more understanding than they are giving Walt. Ever since the end of season 4
Thats my point: we're allowed to think what we want, them included. They don't have to view characters the same as you do. Relax. It's just a tv show, they're immersed and thus root for characters they like.
Okay settle down you two... no actual children were harmed in the making of this show. It's all make-believe. No need to get all worked up about it.
