- This is a quick video to show you how to do a full OS update to your LG mobile phones from LG BRIDGE app - from your laptop or PC.
👉 Purpose of this video -
As OTA updates to mobiles are patch files to be installed on top of existing ROM - there are chances of integration bugs in these files which results in malfunctioning or glitches.
LG BRIDGE provides full OS file with current updates from OTA - so, it is always good to install full OS file.

You need to hard reset the phone.

If it's UK made, they usually don't push updates. Better you get it flashed in any LG service centres

If you aren't using this phone as a primary phone, there are unofficial methods.
But I don't suggest, considering the security aspects.

If there are any issues, it's advisable to hard reset once and then update it. But ensure to back up data and it requires all apps to be installed again.
If any recent patch you've updated, don't have to do again. Full update includes any recent patch.
But your problems are related to hard issues, you can't correct it.

Last option would be to visit LG service center to check if it's feasible to flash to India ROM and ask them , if doing so will void warranty or impacts future updates.

No, it won't erase any data. It's just a software update.

my error recovery stops in between and it says cannot update phone.. i dont know but this is happening repeatedly... my phone is lagging too much too..
Can please do factory reset once after backing up your data and then try error recovery.
It can be a problem with laptops sleep mode or power saving , which stops background running if the system goes untouched after 10 mins
i was facing the same problem from past 6 months, my phone will show 7 hours to charge and if the flip thr cable it will show 3 hours aldo the second screen was not working(not getting connected ),, went to the service cdenter today and changed the connector ,now every thing is fine, they will take 1327rs for the connector change,,,
previously there was no fast charging , my phone was connecting to the laptop but was not able to update,, and after changing the charging port(conneecter) evevry thing is working fine,,,

That's possible only when you get Android 12 update via lg bridge or OTA from at&t.
Please don't try unofficial methods, as doing so will get you unofficial Android 12 & it's at the cost of security

That's not possible to downgrade to A11 officially.
Only LG service center people can do it if they have offline installer

Heating can be because of app optimisations with Android 12 also, not only because of LG updates.
Btw, I'm not facing issues after Android 12 update except little lag here n there

Bro i have done using this method only. But still i am facing lags especially when mobile data is on. Earlier there were many lags. But now better to some extent. Still feeling so laggy most of times... Does hard reset help it out?

Hard reset can be tried, it helps if your phone is having any software glitches.
Please try factory reset once, after backing up all your data
@@AshishKumar-wx7qd nothing like a solution for LG phone. Only hard reset is the ultimate solution. I have done that and is working better. Still UI is laggy but ok manageable.
Factory reset didnt work for me. I think downgrading to Android 11 is best option

Soft reset comes useful mainly if you see battery optimisations issues - as it simulates battery removal & insertion

This process is just.. Re deploying the same os again.. Its not a permanent solution.. Need to downgrade or wait for another official update.. (Might lg stopped updates...)

May be moisture or dust in connectors. In the worst case, pin will be bent and needs replacement.
Get it checked in lg service centre or cashify stores.

As i also think to go to a10 using lg rom kdz file
As each software update comes with Google security patch to keep your phone secured from malware or virus attacks, it's not good to downgrade software to previous versions. Really dangerous to do so if you use payment or banking apps on mobile.
Moreover, lg kdz is not straight approach to install. It might brick your phone when installing goes wrong. I don't think official LG kdz ROMs available for A10, as it's very old. Installing unofficial ROMs is same as installing virus !!

Bro it didn't work after the bridge update so i asked for repair in MG road Bangalore they are asking 6000 for replacing
As per knowledge, only the KH road (opp. Shanti nagar bus stand) LG service center has LG g8x parts.
Please double check if it's an authorised LG service center.

It works only if LG has released the official Android 12 to your phone model. Q6 is not having an official update post Android 8.1

No other choice officially.
But if you're an advanced user and if you are not using q6 as a main/primary device , you can root your phone to install unofficial Android 12 or even 13.
If you're already bored with Q6 - exchange it on Amazon during festival sales - Samsung m52 or Samsung S20 FE 5G are good choices.
If you are on a tight budget, please exchange with Samsung f23 on Flipkart big billion days

Only samsung is the option if you don't like Chinese brands, as Asus also not launching mobiles in India these days.

No. Software updates via LG BRIDGE will just install an OS file without erasing or modifying your data. But ensure not to restart the phone or laptop during the process.

Looks like your OS version is UK and it was nw service provider handled. Maybe it was an unlocked device. I'm using LG g8x which was bought on Flipkart India and hence, running on LG India updates.
If you're based in India, go to the LG service center and check with them if they flash the device to new OS update.

No. It'll update only the OS, without erasing your data. But ensure not to disconnect the device or laptop when the update is running. Doing so might create problems.
