- There's a tug of war in the country's national discourse over the opinion piece written by Tourism Minister, Lindiwe Sisulu last week titled "Hi Mzansi, have we seen justice?" The letter raises the issues of continued poverty and land dispossession by black South Africans nearly thirty years after the constitution was adopted, it fingers the constitution and the judiciary as obstacles in the struggle for transformation. The Presidency has since distanced itself over the matter whilst the Acting Chief Justice has slammed Sisulu's commentary. We speak now to Professor Lesiba Teffo, Political Analyst.

Viva Prof for saying it as it is: "It is those who have the fear to appear before the judges and getting convictions that are trying to delegitimize them". Prof Lesiba Tefu is my most favorite political analyst whose analysis is always precise and incisive, an without fear and favour
I listen to one interview with Mandela in the US. The white man was asking Mandela why is the people against the price given to d klerk. And Mandela ask him what has d klerk did to deserve the price the man answered He release prisoners, he transit apartheid to democracy. Then Mandela respond and said in the first place who created those evil did that result to all these he mentioned, he them said they did not started it this could not have taken place.
Prof you r on the real point, people who r intellectual should speak like that, we need our land period.
Wow!! The prof is spot on!! I can listen to him any day
"It was very rich coming from him." Prof is always on point and says it as it is.
Powerful and informative analysis from the Prof. Great interview
I just love this Prof. Lesiba Teffo, what an intellect!!!
Respect to you Prof.
Tony Yengeni, where is that famous Mercedes Benz ML, can I buy it from you?
My favorite Prof, you being neutral at all times 👌👌
Spot on Prof!
Who is going to be given the expropriated land ? People who can effectively utilize it ? Or friends of politicians ?
Sipho Seepe can learn a lot from Prof L. T
Sipho is not a real prof 🤣
@@MrSihle1 Prof. Seepe is a real professor. Just that the point he is elevating are not in line with your thinking
@@patmdoda9331 perhaps this is because he talks a lot of nonsense, hence the misalignment. He was or is in a romantic relationship with a former minister that belonged to the Zuma Maladministration . This makes him a conflicted demagogue
@@MrSihle1 What you are doing is exactly what I spoke about earlier. You are coming with lame and empty opinions about Seepe. Private relationship have nothing to do with his political analysis. And also, in your statement there is obsession or hatred of Zuma which has nothing to with this comparison
@@patmdoda9331 bra Pat, I am starting to think you are no so smart naweke. Lights are on, but nobody is home... U just admitted he's conflicted !
I CONCUR WITH YOU PROF.THE MANNER WHICH ANYTHING IS CONVEYED AND EXPRESSED MATTERS, IN THIS CASE THE MINISTER UTTERED SWEEPING STATEMENTS.
Really objective Prof.
On the matter of new generation to take over and his respect for the organisational principle to hold pronouncements on support this and that potential candidate is deliberately distorted to feed to the anti-RET and pro Thumamina narrative. I was watching that interview in full just about 3 hours ago. Yengeni was very clear. He said in his personal opinion, their generation needs to make way for a younger generation to lead the political discourse and the struggle to continue with the agenda to emancipate an African child. He referred to himself first, Ramaphosa as the president of the ANC and even Sisulu herself. Furthermore, Mzwandile asked him on whether he would have a problem with Sisulu standing to contest given his "personal opinion on their generation having to make way for the younger one". Then his response was very clear, he said given that he is prohibited from pronouncing preferences on preferred contestants by the ANC as it has not opened the race......he had to respect the principle that he cannot oppose Sisulu's ANC Constitution granted right to contest and therefore he won't object or have a "problem" with her standing. What is contradictory about that? Telling it clear that, his opinion is on his and Sisulu generation to make way for a younger generation, whereas he has to respect the constitution of the ANC that allows for Sisulu and even Ramaphosa to contest AS A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE. He even specified it "AS A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE". But just because its YENGENI from the "wrong" spectrum of this political fracas........to be an "approved" journo you have to point non-existent contradictions and "confusions" and the "esteemed" analyst NEED NOT TO CALL OUT that faction advancing gimmick. Our public engagement space is grossly polluted.........but as Tefo says, African majority cannever be fooled by White-is-great elitist agenda anymore. Whether its PRO-SELLOUT STELLENBOSCH "anti-corruption but pro Bosasa CR17 funding" crusade of Thumaminions........or an India PRO-NKANDLA LOOTING "pro-poor but stealing from the poor" disciples of Zumanoids, they are exposed for who they are including their media outlets (from ANN7 to the current eNCA dictated bunch, their judiciary (from Hlophe rogue bunch to the current Zondo cabal of stogies). SAns are seeing them right through their naked eyes and they know them for what they are. No wonder there has been -45,87% voter turnout in the 2021 LGE (ALL TIME LOW), and with voter support decline registered by almost all parties except the EFF and IFP. The fact that people who have by large gave the ANC a middle finger BUT CHOOSE NOT TO vote other parties tells a lot about what is wrong with our system of government. Majority of SAns are fast becoming frustrated by the entire DEMOCRATIC PROJECT and the sustained narrative by the CAPTURED MAINSTEAM MEDIA is that, this is only about ANC and its because of Zuma. Yet they are busy loosing sales even themselves (mainstream media outlets) because more and more SAns begin to see them for who they are. Instead of reporting news, they are busy paddling opinions of the ruling elites and the masters of the capital monopoly who happen to be overwhelmingly AGING WHITE MALES. This CODESA SELLOUT PROJECT is fast getting naked no matter how much revolutionary rhetoric from the Zumanoids or how much neo-liberal apologetic tip-toeing by the Thumaninoids.
facts we want land
Undo the Land Act of 1913 then we can engage the Prof to weigh in his clever analysis
They are trying by all means to defend Ramaphosa
Why should you fear if you're innocent!!!!
@@lefukres6818 I'm failing to find the word fear in my sentence, or maybe this is not for me
Ramaphosa is trying by all means to break the ANC into pieces and fortunately there are some useful idiots within who are backing his project
Thank you Prof.
Excellent Interview
MINISTER SISULU IS SUPPOSED TO CONCENTRATE ON ISSUES WHICH CURRENTLY AND DRASTICALLY AFFECTING THE NATION.
Thank you🙏.
We tried RET that cost us a trillion rand. We could do with cash about now
I salute you Prof Teffo 🤞❤
Prof Lesiba👌
Great Man.
What was the difference between Zille comment vs Lindiwe. Prof waske waqhiyaza. He accenuate mild and harsh criticism weigh differently. Tsiiii akhonyani......since Zille engumlungu.
Helen Zille should have given that term to the Prof..
Professor Teffo is an absent father to his first born daughter. How do we hold our heroes accountable for coming on stages to profess perfection when what they do in private is deplorable?
The focus was on stealing public money
What ANC should know is that the Land
issue in Zimbabwe was not started by President Mugabe but it was by the people who said enough was enough as they could not wait for some silly document called Lancaster Agreement . When havoc started Mr Mugabe had no choice but to turn a blind eye to the developments. This country shall be on Fire soon .
Well done Prof Teffo!
Well said
I didn't pick up the difference between Zille and Sisulu.. The Journalist here says Zille called them ANC poodles, how is that language any better??? Or not warrant such a response?? The prof did not answer this very well, he said Zille was subtle but who determined that zille was subtle??? He goes on to talk
about the importance of being factual, was Zille factual then?
Prof you are very clear ANC people are the majority paty for a very long time, but they always speak as if the is something else that is stopping them...
On a serious note we are tired of listening to ANC its like we are listening to th same song the whole day and it's boring,, in ANC it's all about power and greedy of stilling Tax payers money, am sick with ANC
Professor Teffo is an absent father to his first born daughter, Ithuteng. Is he going to comment on this?
Chief Justice Raymond Zondo was right on point. A gross insult to the dignity and standing of the Judiciary by Sisulu who has done nothing in 27 years a passenger on the government gravy train looking to siphon off cash at every opportunity, Gulfstream jet charters on local and international flights. Sisulu is a shocker
Zondo is corrupt. Firstly, he should have not taken money from George Soros
Sisulu did not mention a single judge by name, she was critical of those who are Captured. Zondo spent billions on State Capture. After all, there is no state
Sisulu is right
Despite spending billions on 'investigation' he avoided Oppenheimmers and Ruperts. The report also implicate Ramaphosa to whom he is submitting it
@@patmdoda9331 zondo is nonsense
@@mduduzihadebe3519 I think Sisulu hit the nail on the head. Zondo knows that there are private investors in the judiciary and he has to serve them
@@patmdoda9331 exactly
Expropriation of bonded property is not the solution. One may as well suggest seizure of bank accounts is the path out of poverty. Only a social wage based upon a secure property regime can ever hope to achieve common prosperity.
Exproprietary bonded property from a stolen land.
@@patmdoda9331 You assuming all land in SA was stolen at the outset, this is patently untrue as can be seen by the genocide of Khoisan by white settlers and also Southbound Nguni tribes, the award of parcels of land to Voortrekkers by the Zulu Nation and the inclusion of various protectorates within the Republic. Yes some land was stolen, but this is why land claims procedures exist.
@@DavidRobertLewis Yeah, let's look at the Land Act of 1913 and leave what happened prior to that for a moment. We must deviate from the fact that more than 87% of the land was forcefully taken from Africans now they want it back. That should be our point of departure. Your bank account is your bank account and no one will temper with it
@@patmdoda9331 87% would suggest that the Zulu Kingdom was 100% larger for instance. We can't really know how much land would have been in black hands if the Land Act had not been passed. Let's rather focus on affordable housing, zero percent bonds and common prosperity.
@@DavidRobertLewis 87% grab was in response to the formation of the ANC which later some of its top leadership collaborated to maintain the status quo of colonialism. The issue of land return is not gonna disappear into thin air because of inconvenience to the land grabbers
Yengeni was comfortable when Zuma and guptas stealing public money. Only because he was benefiting and now that they r no longer stealing , want change.

The talk about transformation +~25 years post apartheid 🙃 Please do research, our constitution is literally & figuratively the best in the entire world.
If you so clever why dont you run the country
She stole the speech wakeup
Tony Yengeni has to make statements from time to time to remain relevant.
The alternative would be obscurity.
A position which would be untenable to many of his comrades.
