Yes they should've left her alone, but the sister in law had apparently miscarriaged too hence the reason she was trying to help.

1st person is def the ahole, like the definition of. I understand that she had a miscarriage, but so did sister in law (according to the comments) and I’m sure she’s struggling just as much.
