their harmonizing is just spectacular, and about Jimin's shirt, it's good with us older ladies, sometimes I feel like I need to smack myself watching sexy Jimin, what's with you I think, well I just say it's the Jimin effect.

Since I'll Be Missing You is a sample/remix of the Sting's ( of the The Police) song 'Every Breath You Take' which was a massive hit in 1983, Sting was very pleased with BTS and gave them the big Thumbs up.
I'd never heard this version, the song it self was my late brothers favorite song. He died five years ago on July 3rd the family hosts a cookout to share stories laughs and tears, and his favorite music. I'll be playing this song this year. Also thanks for the Jimin joke... He's my bias only because his nemesis his a damn chair.
There are no Eng subs for the Korean lyrics, because this was filmed by the BBC and perhaps they don't usually have Korean translators on hand for UK productions. This was during the "Butter"/"Permission To Dance" era, where they were singing in English, so perhaps the UK team was caught unaware when they suddenly rapped in Korean for what should also have been a song sung entirely in Englilsh. Also, those outfits are similar to the ones they wore in the "Permission To Dance" music video, where they went for a western cowboy concept and wore a lot of blue denim. This performance was for BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge", and the other 2 songs they performed were "Butter" and "Permission To Dance".

I...have to admit. Due to the song they sampled, I hated that song when it first came out. Jimin's "Somebody tell me why"...? Yeah. I had it on repeat for 6 hours straight after it originally aired. Note: There is a lyric video for it if you're curious about the Korean in the song. As stated before, do take the lyric videos with a grain of salt...or the whole salt lick sometimes...but they do usually at least give you the gist of what they're saying. Especially since there is no "word for word" translation of Korean to English (or vice versa) due to completely different sentence structure between the two languages.

Been waiting for this from you. Lol i remember the OG song in the mid 80s from The Police (Sting et all). It came out right before one of my best friends died in a crash as well! Listened to all 3 versions as they released and, this one..... Is my fave. Also, this was released around the time of Permission to Dance, that time frame correlates with their fits. Lol
This was the only performance of "I'll Be Missing You," and they did it special for BBC. If you listen to RM's verse, some of the words were changed. Mainly "Just to see half your face." As well as Suga's and Hobi's verses were all about covid. And what it has taken from us. The reason for the cowboy outfits, it was during the "Permission to Dance" era, and yes, they did perform that to on the BBC special. You should hear they cover of Coldplays "Fix You" for MTV Unplugged. It is what got Coldplay's (well a friend of theirs) attention enuf to do a song with them called "My Universe." This song is special to me, my brother passed away in 2002 aged 25 and we played this song at his funeral. Couldn't listen to it for a long time after. I love that BTS have sung it though, it's a beautiful song and they sing it so beautifully too.

Knowing what i know now about "puffy daddy" + scooter + Justin bieber + usher makes me feel very uncomfortable about this cover.
This was the only performance of "I'll Be Missing You," and they did it special for BBC. If you listen to RM's verse, some of the words were changed. Mainly "Just to see half your face." As well as Suga's and Hobi's verses were all about covid. And what it has taken from us. The reason for the cowboy outfits, it was during the "Permission to Dance" era, and yes, they did perform that to on the BBC special. You should hear they cover of Coldplays "Fix You" for MTV Unplugged. It is what got Coldplay's (well a friend of theirs) attention enuf to do a song with them called "My Universe."

This song is special to me, my brother passed away in 2002 aged 25 and we played this song at his funeral. Couldn't listen to it for a long time after. I love that BTS have sung it though, it's a beautiful song and they sing it so beautifully too.
