Have driven the length of turkey in a motor home in summer never used a campsite had no aircon the roads we used were better than in the Uk . The people were friendly filled with water and emptied toilets at filling stations .Found that most of the campsites were for for tents and had cabins to rent .Most Turkish vans are converted sprinters . There are so many places to spend the night you are spoilt for choice . If in town you will allways find a carpark to stop overnight. Its just about a change of mindset and expectation . Many of the larger road side stops that cater for tour buses have swimming pools just by some drinks and snacks there some will let you stay the night .
Well done Steve...forget the knockers, you're doing a great job wheeling that beautiful big motorhome around, I know how you feel, I have the tag axle Autotrail Chieftain, same size as yours. One hint for you, if you're worried about trying to get up a hill that is too steep, reverse up it. The van will push up the hill easier than it will drive, as all the weight is transferred to your drive axle in reverse. You and your wonderful family just keep doing what you're doing, and inspire the rest of us to come along with you. If we don't manage to catch up with you next time we come back to the UK, maybe you might even take the plunge and come see what Australia has to offer.
@@RoamingRadfords I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it ...I'm what's called a road train driver in Australia (google it)...trucks with 4 trailers, 60 metres long weighing in at 200 tonne, so I have a bit of an idea what it takes to drive a big rig...You're doing ok mate, and so does the beautiful bride. heads high
I know someone who bought an American RV 6 months ago. They're great....when they're stationary. People don't realise how stressful the drive is. We have a vwt5.1 and park and drive anywhere. No issues on road and no abuse from the locals up north so all good. Beach looks stunning there have fun.
Very brave to tackle the Turkish roads in your beautiful but big MH. Hats off to you, must be stressful at times. Hope overall you have an amazing time, thank you for sharing , safe travels all 😊
Hi guys. We are planning to travel turkey in out 7.5 Hymer, and it would be great if you could list the best stops for us, please. Many thanks, Dave and Mel

Awesome to get out and about. That what travel and adventure is about. Looked hot and hard though. I still remember your Croatia trip - you must sometimes think - come on, we’re off back to Croatia.
I have watched a few videos now from you guys whilst you were on the road, and your adventures and experiences always seem to be very stressful; bad roads that damage your vehicle, bad or expensive campsites, or bad access, unfriendly people that try to rip you off, rushing to get to the next location, and so on. Relax, is the word that comes to my mind. Bey hey, everyone travels differently. I wish you a safe journey.
Another enjoyable video The experiences of driving on those roads and how stressful it is but it’s worth it when you find that place to park up The Turkish people are so welcoming and that food I wish there was smellyvision Authentic Turkish food looked amazing and it’s healthy 😊😊😍😍👍 👍 👍 😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The olive tree : You can measure roughly how old a tree is by measuring the girth of the tree. The trunk of the tree you are standing by looks pretty thin, so not so old. Your tree at home i suspect has a much bigger girth/ circumference and has been pruned hard before, to keep the actual tree/branches short. Generally you can tell how old a tree is is by counting the ring lines if you cut straight through the trunk. Each ring = one year. But don't cut it down, to find out !!
Correct..2K on a Honda Genny which will last a lifetime or get suckered into £5+K of Solar and Lithium....Its why all the old decent German Motorhomes used to have a Genny Built in...Totally off grid 20+ years ago.
If you have efficient air conditioner 600watt to 700watt power consumption with 8000 btu you can run it off grid. You must have a huge amount if space on the roof to fit 800 watt to 1000 watt of solar panels and if you get tilting panels which make it even more efficient.
Shame about the messy beach. We find ourselves picking up all manner of litter whilst strolling on a beach be that either in Britain or abroad. I cannot bear to look at it and not do something.
I have a friend who has an apartment in Turkey been offered it times, why any wants to go there is beyond me, but hey we all like different things. Safe trip home.

I don't know what your complaining about...we are in Cornwall and those roads you failed to go down look like motorways compared to Cornwall s lanes😂😂😂😂glad your enjoying❤❤❤
Don’t really understand your comment. Maybe it’s the first time in their big rig to Turkey and have only just begun to realise and share that feedback with us… just a thought…
Watched the video and it seems to be very stressful, the roads and your large van don't go well, not keen on the squat toilets, comes across a little untidy, the last site looked OK but it looked uncomfortably hot I know as Brits we moan about the rain but this looked too much, we have a tourer so wouldn't be practical, I'm not sold on Turkey at all, at least you gave it a try. The hospitality with the breakfast was brilliant, even at that time it looked too hot.
I’m finding this stressful whilst sat here at home having breakfast in Yorkshire! It reminds me of many of the ‘adventures’ we had touring Europe in the 70s & 80s. George Sheffield

Too bad you couldn’t do Ephesus. I suppose they get too many visitors, so they’re trying to keep them down by charging more . I wonder if it would be cheaper during the off season . When your boys have grown up , maybe you could drive your ID Buzz to Turkey for all access to the campgrounds .

Ephesus is worth the money. Having been there, I can't imagine being so close but not going. Hopefully, another time.
