• Donnie the dancing mac...
The first five minutes of DRP's life. This video was taken a few minutes after my son was born. It shows the skillful and efficient method used by the attending nurse to measure, weigh, and clear the nose and throat of my beautiful newborn baby, moments after being born. While it may seem "rough" to some people, the way the nurse handled my son did not hurt him at all, and I never felt she was being too rough. He was born by C-Section, which is why he wasn't immediately placed with his mother for skin to skin contact, as she was being sutured. When I uploaded this video, I had no idea this little bundle of joy would reach so many people and be viewed so many times. I'm so glad I recorded this, and I'm glad to share the beauty of this moment that was one of the most beautiful and joyful of my life.

I love how he stops crying when dad talks and holds his hand. So sweet!
He's beautiful. I don't ever mind the crying when they're born -- shows they're breathing right with strong, healthy lungs
And he's cold!
Calm down peeps, little baby is fine. It just looks like she’s rough and she the crying is good for his lungs. They are weighing and measuring him. They deliver them all day, everyday. Very healthy!
Congratulations to the parents. Such a beautiful newborn baby.
@@jamesfiaco4922 usually anymore the docs drug screen the pregnant moms and do blood work for toxicity. And us the watchers can guess but we really don't know. Usually if the baby is bathed clean and fed and warm it will stop crying but if it doesn't then there is a problem.
Ok well done I understand
Yes, absolutely! People are over the top, unnessarily! Nurses and doctors do this 100's x a day. The baby cries...some of them cry for nothing. They tremble a bit . Well their nervous system is not yet fully developed. The dad is standing right there. He didn't say anything. Why should we!
Bless baby he will be fine. ❤
This baby is a boy.
That's a lot to go through for this little guys first 5 minutes in life. Such a sweetie.
Cute, adorable little baby, very smart when someone holds her hand she keeps quiet, and even tried to open her eyes to see and recognise voices.
Their a "he"
Please treat this beautiful little angel with tenderness and compassion...
Ещё один ангел родился. Расти малыш крепким и здоровым!!!
So beautiful . The more I watched the more I wanted to cry. I rem the feeling after I gave birth to both of my kids even through all that pain just watching them was alll worth it ! This lad must be 11 years now bless him hope he and his beautiful family are doing well .
There is no more beautiful thing in this world than a newborn baby.
Everytime he cried, just a touch soothes him. This might be the most satisfying thing ever.
Newborns tickle me when they are crying. It's like they will stop and then think about why they were crying. Then start back.
So precious. Mad at those old bright lights.
Your child is beautiful and now being 11 years old you must be so proud. God bless all of you and your wonderful family. 😘
He’s terrified of this no world where no one is holding or comforting him.
It could have been done gently and lovingly. Poor baby.
As I lie here watching this precious baby, I realize how scary it is ‘to be born’
If he could articulate, I can’t imagine within the first 5 minutes, any joy until he’s held by his mother and father.
So many ‘necessary’ things are happening so quickly and suddenly-from quiet, dark, warm space, to THIS
God bless
Yes, these first minutes of life are very spécial and must absolutely not be reserved to examinations that could wait a few hours later...they must be preserved for sacred moments between mother and baby, look at mammal animals , you will become wiser.
@@stellafrances5900 A few " Hours Later" ?? Don't be so ridiculous!! A newborn baby needs to be examined right after birth.Better alive than dead
Poor baby. I like how he's comforted when his dad holds his fingers.
Can everyone please stop saying she’s being rough! She is adequately cleaning, measuring & stimulating the baby. You can clearly hear the nurse say she’s trying to get the vernix out of his eyes. He is crying because that’s what babies do when they are born. It is also helping clear his lungs of amniotic fluid. Relax jeez.
Exactly! He turned out fine!
ua-cam.com/video/bEpgN8JK8kI/v-deo.html
I agree Maya. They cry that's what they do. They are in a strange place now. Daddy is trying to comfort him. He's going to be just fine! God bless!
I agree, they have to physically stimulate his body and clear his lungs.... as his daddy said... he turned out just fine.... don't think they had a problem with it.....
Amazing how he stops crying everytime someone touches him. There's so much we don't know about the transition between the mother's womb and the outside world.
There actually isn't much we don't know about the baby's "transition" from womb to world. The womb is a warm safe protective environment where all the baby's needs are met, the baby listens to his mother's heartbeat, he is perfectly content. When he is born, he needs to be put on his mother's chest to hear her familiar heartbeat, and so he can be held by her. New babies experience the air on their naked skin as pain. What was done to this unfortunate child is very wrong.
Why is she so rough with him. 😭He is a little angel. ❤
He turned out just fine:
ua-cam.com/video/bEpgN8JK8kI/v-deo.html
Dear lord stop it already....the over exaggeration is old...baby is beautiful and just fine..this nurse did just fine and the babies little hand was held for comfort bc everything is new
I don't know why so many ignorant people worry about babies crying and question the profession of nurses.
For doctors, nurses and parents, a baby who does not cry loudly after birth can signal a serious condition in which the baby may be unconscious or unable to breathe on his own, which could lead to death by suffocation after birth.
All babies need to cry loudly and move their limbs after birth. To drain fluid from the lungs and send oxygen-carrying blood to the extremities.
And it needs to be cleaned carefully to prevent blood and amniotic fluid from causing infection to the baby.
This baby really doesn’t seem to like the bright lights shining directly in its eyes. I’m glad the second nurse is holding baby’s hand. ❤
Miracles really do happen. Congratulations. He’s a beautiful baby boy.
He calmed down when he felt his dad’s finger. But it’s hard for them with all the medical stuff they have to endure.
The point is It doesn't need to be. It would've taken two seconds to place a light towel over the baby's upper body during "the medical stuff." Presence of a nearby heater isn't an excuse. Everyone knows newborns lose heat very rapidly. It would've provided the baby with some comfort while he was being jerked around.
Poor sweetie.
Should be with his mommy.
Awe i love his newborn cry. He came from a warm place. And now he dont like all thats happening.
I noticed every time the baby was touched it stop crying and calm down. It just needs some love and human touch.❤️😊
The baby needs to cry. It's actually very important

awww i remember when my little brother was a newborn...he cried like that all the time...it broke my heart in a good way 😍
My son was born 11 years ago & it feels like just yesterday ❤ I can vividly remember him crying the moment he was born the immense amount of love I felt the moment I saw him. I was barely 18 & I didn’t know what we where gonna do but I knew I loved him more than anything & here we are 11 years later 12 next month and it all turned out okay 😊My boy is so incredibly smart. Soooooo polite and kind. ❤️ you blink and they are ten years old it all goes by so fast 💨
Serious note: For those of you complaining about the crying of a healthy newborn, you have NO IDEA how ****ing scary it is (for the medical team and the parents!) to hear nothing from a baby! Trust me, you don't EVER want to hear "crickets" over a newborn! Loud cries mean nice, clear airways (this little guy had just a little fluid in his chest) and no difficulties breathing!
For those of you complaining about the rough handling by the nurse, get over yourself and go read up on neonatal nurse care! healthy babies are physically resilient (they just passed through a birth canal for ****'s sakes! =)) -- nurses who know what they're doing are firm but gentle! she did a good job!
I can relate...my daughter didn't cry as a new born...the nurses kept tapping under her feet and inserting the suction tube for over 10 mins...I was so scared...after what seemed like forever the miracle happened and she cried...
Seeing this baby cry at birth reminds me of the joy I felt when my daughter's miracle happened.
Spot on. My daughter was born by emergency caesarean due to foetal distress, and hearing her cries once she was out was such a relief, because it meant she was all right and breathing!
My heart is thumping when the kid is crying...feels to hug and comfot the kid...babies are very spl gift to a girl...
Newborn babies deserve to be introduced to the world in a kind, gentle and loving way. Just because the nurse is busy doesn't excuse brusque behavior.
Very true I agree

Super cute baby
Cries of protest
Being touched by strangers

No ,we are not too sensitive .Many of these things are not necessary in the first minutes . Measuring, cleaning etc...only resting peacefully with Mom IS essencial if baby is breathing of course .❤ médical teams have become crazy because of the protocoles they are prisonners from ..😢😮
He was over the whole thing as soon as he got here🤣. Love how gentle physical touch had him calming down and trying to figure if he was in the tummy or some other strange and new place. Too nunus!
This baby is 11 years old this year
I imagine he's beautiful big boy❤.
Maybe he's watching this video
Exactly ! I can't believe how rough she is. Poor baby ❤
The lights are too damn bright for a baby who has lived in darkness for nine months! That's the main reason he's bawling the way he is.

I just want to cuddle this little angel 👼
To me this is the most precious moment of my life having had two wonderful children be born to me when I had first loss the the first through a miscarriage. I still think about that baby and hope he/she is in heaven. I did so fight against loosing the baby it truly hurt my insides going against nature was no fun at all but painful experience just so glad I was able to conceive again but you never forget the one you loss.

It's so precious how the baby calms down when his dad comforts him and holds his hand!! The little one even opens his eyes to look at his dad, it's so adorable. He also likes it when the nurses touches his eyes, and whenever he's being touched, he calms down. I was born via C section and it's traumatic in every which way, for both mom and baby, no way around it.

The nurse isn’t as gentle as i would prefer. The little things around his wrists look tight as well.
Melinda Nance • 8 hours ago
From a NICU RN: Newborns need to roughed up a bit immediately after birth so they scream and expel all the blood, amniotic fluid and mucus from their lungs. If they don't get the fluid out, it will cause a serious pneumonia that could potentially end the child's life. Believe me - it's not nearly as bad as it looks.
She was So DAMN RUFF... LADY I'M ONLY 1 MINUTE OLD💙

I wished this poor little boy would have had a less rough and noisy start into life. He came from a warm protected quiet womb pressed through a narrow tunnel into glistening light, hands pulling, grabbing, turning him and additionally a terrific noise level. It must have been horrying for him. Also no one to hold him close, remember, babies have been for a long time in a very small area, when they are born they need to be held closely, as they have no coordination whatsoever, they are totally lost with there arms as there is so much space now. This definitely was a very rough and unpleasant start. 😔
I wish they had been more gentle

I always hate seeing how babies are treated in their first minutes of life. Birth was traumatic enough. Poor babies.
They must feel this world is different from wat they were used to and also help the baby cry for more oxygen
I know what you mean. Why can't they just be quiet and gentle with them? They put bright lights in their faces and speak in loud voices laughing and talking to each other as if what they want to say and do is more important than what baby needs. I think that is changing a bit, especially with home births, but people all over the world need to wake up to bringing a newborn into the world peacefully.
