speaking from a diplomatic point of view
1st he rudely said "you live in Sandton" while Malema was speaking then he indeed did undermine Malema by saying "your a joker". fair enough questioning Malema for his contradiction about being based in Sandton but the journalist simply did his job in the worst manner possible and you know it.

      But Why?
From everything I can find he both racist and extremist in his ideologies. Even in this video he referred to the man as white as if that made him somehow beneath him. He's also threatened violence on many people just for them being white.
Personally I think the only way for the world to move forward is to acknoledge the crimes of yesterday but at the same time move on and learn from those mistakes.
Apartheid was wrong when it was done by the whites and it's equally wrong now.
I really do want to know what a malema supporter thinks because from what my african friends tell me he's just an extremist, radical, black supremacist etc
but I want to know the whole picture

Racism is an abhorrent evil that can come from anyone, black, white or other, and those who've experienced it should know better than to inflict it on others.

Although many have criticized Malema, what he did is not acceptable but the reporter is very rude and not civilized. allow the man to speak and dont interrupt, journalist should have manners as well. Also his remark about Malema living in Sandton (a wealthy suburb in Jo'burg). I suppose politicians should live in ghettos like the people they often radically fight, well thats a good cause, but remember leaders often receive high dignitaries, you wouldnt want to take your visitors to ghettos?

@MrHimeezembi This is not about race. This is about taking responsibility. The reason why I criticize this incident is because the rest of the world (myself included) wants South Africa to progress economically, politically, socially. And who doesn't? From all the sources and information on the internet right now, and I made a tough decision that Julius Malema is not doing a good job.

Unfortunately, thought and manners are so much in the awe of the western perspective that they are incapable of appreciating the stark and downright evil nature of that perspective and any expression which runs against it is is jeered at and so insolently dismissed. Malema may be a many things, however I completely the point in his anger, demonstrated here.

This is one of the most terrifying clips that I have ever seen. I love South Africa. I have called it home for many years, but this infantile, vicious, vindictive little man is undermining the decades of work that it took to overthrow the apartheid government. He is destroying the legacy of great men like Nelson Mandela and O.R. Tambo. All of their work means nothing in the face of arrogance and bigotry like this.

@myhomelandSA true i completly agree with you. everything the newspapers said about the world cup was rubbish. i live near the Moses Madiba statium. oh and you have a point with malema and his response. he could have handled it the right way but instead he brought his past frustrations get the better of him.
