    Beautiful work as always! Your ponds look like they were already there and created by nature, and then someone built a house around it. Your ponds are really works of art. Keep up the great work - thanks for sharing your work with us!! :)

    Awesome project. So many problems - all by Mother Nature. The Owners have to be happy with the result - but the process would have tested the patience of Mother Theresa! Would be nice to see what it looks like after landscaping, clear water and fish are all settled in!! Great design!

    I don't understand why anyone would be at "Phase 3" when it is the end result that is going to be such a wonder. No one has any patience these days. Great work and beautiful finish. Cannot wait to see what it will look like after a summer of new growth with additional landscaping.

    Hey Brian, and Ed. Would a wetland filter in the bottom of the pond mess with the thermocline in the winter time? Messing with the fish sleep cycle??

  • @mattoriental

    That's incredible work, love it - what kind of mortar do you use inside a pond? Sand and cement mix or do you use any additives?

  • @susanb1511
    @susanb1511 5 років тому +3

    Just curious as to why you mortared the stones in the bottom. BTW, beautiful pond. Worth the wait.

    • @edbeaulieu5916
      @edbeaulieu5916 5 років тому +4

      Susan B We wanted to have a smooth bottom for our clients to walk easily on the bottom of the pond. Using mortar between the flagstone joints will help to eliminate any tripping hazards.

    good day ed and team aquascape. you guys have inspired me alot to build a pond for the kiddies to play in.
    regarding the epdm liners, i read the primer that joins the liners along with the double sided tape can fail and end up leaking when in contat with water. in your experience have a guys experience anything of the sort? how long should the joints last?
    what is the recommened thickness for epdm rubber sheet?
    wherre i am from i only have access to 1 meter wide epdm sheets. pp and hdpe sheets are too stiff and risk tearing.
    cheets.

    With the 2 wetlands going does it make the water quality that much more clearer?
    Also if the wetland(s) were built differently meaning if pond water went into an intake bay and then pushed to a wetland 20’ away and then pushed to a waterfall area that also filtered into another wetland filter and back into the main pond area would it improve the water quality or is it just making the pond itself more sustainable?

    Quick question if you don't mind? With the Aqua Blocks centipede and snorkel you mentioned there is a 90%+ reduction in water speed to allow the larger particles to settle, what then happens to those larger particles? do you have to pull out all the stone over the aqua blocks, the aqua blocks and centipedes to physically remove the sediment?
    PS you guys are awesome I have been watching all of you (Well binge watching to be completely honest) and I think I might almost be ready to tackle my own rec pond with your products (Thank you for making them available in Australia too btw.
    PPS Did I mention you guys are awesome? And don't worry about the neighbour, I bet they wont be complaining when the value of their property sky rockets because of the view into the new aqua scape garden next door

    • @MrScTuvix
      @MrScTuvix 5 років тому +1

      Hi, as I understand they put a pump in the snorkel once a year and drain all the water and sediment down from the bottom of the wetland filter. So they don't have to remove all the stone and gravel. :)
