I listen to this music each day. For a few days, I stopped. I fell to a demonic attack and felt the 'little death' of sin more intensely than I had in weeks. Today I am praying for forgiveness, but I know I will keep listening to chants to ward off the Evil One.
Stand in the Word of God. These things hate the sound of chant and Scripture read aloud. I like reminding them of the fires of Hell that have been specially prepared for them at the coming Day of Judgement.
He has a great voice, he did a concert a few years back in Beirut, Lebanon, it's really good. I think there was an arabic choir with him singing in greek.

Maybe it is due the the fact that it was commonly used more in oral form than writing (although there is substantial early arabic poetry and writing). Also greek is a very good chanting language of course.

I chose french because ancient greek had been labelled as "dead language". Today we all know that France - together with the west - is spiralling towards death and the other choice would have been one of the languages of the only book leading to eternal life! For one, that's not what the verse reads, so reread it. It does not say you cannot pray to Jesus, in fact the Jesus Prayer is one of the most holy prayers in Christianity. Secondly, read Romans 10:9-10: "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
