POET is NOT a profitable company. Everything about this smells like a pump and dump. If you've bought shares, get out whilst you can.
yup....my tech analysis resembles his and iv switched from previous sources that gave pertinent info in the past 5+ years. My pain in is lack of execution due to the investing infrastructure in my country. where iv lost out on a decent chunk of value particularly on AMD, twice! - Im working on that. It happens to every investor sometime. I also listen and discern bs parts of info given , like certain opinion on AMD's performance before they rocketed. It was obvious that their stock price had not caught up with their performance. So his advice to do your own thinking resonates bigtime. Poet wasnt on my radar so thats very interesting. Certainly one has to discern Fluff from probable Facts.
@@Fonzleberrywhile I can see how poet could be a pump and dump but I think I will research their products. China just announced a very sophisticated photonic chip. When the US sees this they MAY rush to throw money at photonics. This chip has also been reviewed by a lady CHIP designer who mentions that the interfaces (what poet does) are not there yet but the compute speed will be astronomical.

One good strategy is to follow NVIDIA's smaller software and hardware suppliers or direct investment.. a deep dive into the supplier chain for NVDIA makes sense.. they will be the leader in accelerated computing for a few years..

Many don't understand that it doesn't stop at curing sickle cell disease, and fail to see the actual potential of the technology. And the second thing is that if you do cover it, it would be extremely interesting to see how AI is utilized in that field of research. I hope you'll see this, in any case, thank you again for your fantastic work!!
If you look more deeply you will see that is very risky gamble that may or may not pay off. Sickle cell "cure" is extremely nasty process of going through chemo to kill bone marrow and replace it... its not like people think, where they someone just flip and switch and you are cured

Can I plant a seed/make a request? You mentioned your background in Electrical Engineering which sparked an idea. What would you think about doing a video on the players in the electrical space that stand to benefit from the AI boom? Companies that are in the electrical component space, grid operators, utilities, etc. Companies like Quanta Services, Eaton, and constellation energy. They aren’t direct AI plays but I keep hearing more and more about the electrical needs and impact of AI and itd be great to hear someone cover this area - I don’t see anyone currently doing so. Could be an opportunity to do something the competition isn’t.

AI doesn't benefit only the AI companies any more than the internet didn't only affect just the internet companies.
OTHER companies were the ones that benefited!
AI digital twins will really increase the productivity and profitability to millions of companies that are completely unrelated to the companies we think about as being AI companies now.
And even the ones that are the leaders do NOT use it in the same way people assume. Personalized playlists in video and audio. Personalized shopping. Better logistics with shipping, handling, will help ALL companies lowering waste, minimizing disruption of supply chain and lowered warehousing costs. (if we understand the Toyota Production Method used by almost every major company on the face of the planet (NOT just Toyota) and Agile/Scrum/Six Sigma, AI will dramatically lower costs, and increase profits in almost every industry.
The only industry that you want to be OUT of, that AI will really hurt is a call center for customer service and Tech support.
Can you imagine the disruption this is going to cause India and the Philippines? But it will dramatically reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction for the rest of us.
That POET seems really interesting, the patents alone. This is the first I've heard of that stock

Funny I have been reading on poet and the connections issues. Coming out of the copper industry knowing that the limitations of the systems were going to be hamstrung by the copper inefficiency looking towards what was going to be the next level of integrations for the different systems. I think you hit the nail on the head with a sledgehammer with this episode. Thank you very much for confirming my research. It will take a little while but it has to occur no different than copper landline phones to cell phones you can’t run a piece of copper wire with you everywhere.

Owning POET shares isn't for the risk averse, but its technology has so much unique potential some investors (including myself) believe it has a chance for wide-spread adoption in a variety of market sectors. Nice to see the recognition and exposure.
$5 mil loss per quarter, $3 mil left in cash. dilution happening soon for sure.
@@kaaanjiiin Not sure where your $5M loss/qtr stat comes from? Rather,POET has no debt, has been very frugal with spending, and generally good with dilution. Admittedly their reserves are modest, but sales via their partnership with Celestial AI are expected in 2024 and their equity in the SPX joint venture provides some safety cushion.

You’ve broken down POET more effectively in 10 minutes than management has been able to in 10 years, which is why the company has been languishing for so long.
Honestly, it took me a while to really put it together. Glad I could simplify it enough to share with others!

@@TickerSymbolYOU This has been our complaint as shareholders for YEARS. Simplify, dumb down, talk value propositions, not technology speak.
So Poet has spent $28M is sales, marketing and admin costs over the last 3 years for a total sales value of $1.3m - Not a great return.... Of the $28m spent $16M has been on wages, Benefits and stock based comp (Note 20 in 2023 Annual accounts)..... Again why pay so much for such poor results. Finally note (page 2) from the Auditor that "our report dated March 15, 2024, expressed an adverse opinion on the effectiveness of the Company’s internal control over financial reporting because of the existence of a material weakness. "
So mgmt paying themselves lots of money for poor results and Auditors concerned..... The Tech might be amazing but i will be keeping my cash out of this one.
@@peterschaad809 Lots of person simply dont know the tech side. Eg large news channel reporters and congressmen who fumble to even show the most basic knowledge of AI when speaking. Of course AI is a frontier.

Ah yes, a new stock to me. I love learning about a small tech company on the verge of exploding. Now video has me super excited. I do have a few concerns on POET. Volume is minuscule and their market value in really small. Micro, micro cap I would call them. I'm definitely going to do my own DD on POET. Thank you a ton!

Celestial AI (The company has reportedly been in talks with several hyperscale customers and a major processor manufacturer, about integrating its technology . Though specific details remain under wraps, that manufacturer is quite likely to be AMD since AMD Ventures is one of Photonic Fabric's backers) reported in Tech radar Pro 4-13-2024

Hey Alex, I really appreciate your knowledge you share with us. But I’m retired and have a big chunk of cash (don’t need this money for retirement) to invest in the AI, Tech, and Semiconductor boom that everyone is getting rich on. But I don’t want to do all this research (busy drinking beer on the beach). So if the market has a nice correction, what good combination ETFs do you recommend? My risk tolerance is a little high because of a 5 to 10 year investment thesis. I’m thinking QQQ and/or XLK with SMH. What would you do?

AVGO also acquired a database company, Computer Associates (CA) several years ago.
Poet just closed 2 financial deals with 3 institutions. A total of 20 million dollars. And today they just secured a partnership with Foxconn Interconnect, a subsidiary of Foxconn - the world's largest electronic manufacturer with a 76 billion dollar market cap. Exciting times ahead!

A deep dive is always the best kind of analysis video. I hope no one is pumping and dumping this because POET went up $0.53 in the last 2 days which is bound to hurt the retail investor.
High Risk / High Reward since nothing has been happening despite the recently held San Diego OFC conference and other recent Conferences and Stock Price seems languishing for many years BUT I have to agree it CAN moonshot and SP is attractive at this stage so for me , it won't be a High Risk if I grab a just a few shares at these prices after looking at their unique product that seems miles ahead of competition in terms of scaling production and ease of manufacturing /lower cost to produce on volume ..... BUT Big Customers need to come ! thanks for the video.

I have AVGO & QCOM. Semiconductor stocks are highly cyclical and both are probably at the top of the cycle. We could expect 40-50% drop during cycle downturn. I bought AVGO around $450 in 2022. At $1200, it is way overvalued. Just look at some metrics quickly. P/E 28 5yr avg 18. P/CF 29 5yr avg 15. P/S: 13 5yr avg: 8. Everything screams overvalue. AVGO stock might go up more riding the AI mania but the downside is more than the upside at this price level. Be patient. Everything will regress to their mean value eventually

Can you tell me what you think about the ETF SMGB. It appears to have balanced exposure to Broadcom, Qualcomm and not overly inflated with NVidia.

AI stocks will dominate 2024. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I know someone who has made more than 200% from NVIDIA. I'll also take these other recommendations you made.
I agree, just because the market presents opportunities doesn't mean we should rush in headfirst. For this reason, we should look for appropriate market analysis or guidance or, alternatively, seek advice from certified market strategists.
Good to know I’m always looking for great stocks and actually I did recently buy POET TECHNOLOGY CA, and will hold them for a while and keep feeding them weekly with more money into the stock.

I love your research on these stocks. I plan to buy some QCOM and POET. I have also been buying some SIVR (Silver ETF) If the US dollar gets in trouble due to the high debt I think Silver will help offset the loss. It's hard to figure how this will go but at least inflation should force silver to higher prices. There is also a deficit in silver production vs use.
True on Silver, but if Poet executes its plan, you won’t have to worry about external factors as the appetite for best of breed AI enablers will increase exponentially

Been watching POET very closely. Had my reservations about it. Small company, low product numbers and pretty poor quarter earnings. Its been dropping for weeks, now finding itself under $2. Potential is there but im not convinced, high risk reward with low confidance at the minute. Ive subbed anyway, good content on several of your videos.

Definitely agree with understanding a companies products and not profits only! With that said some context I think would be extremely important and helpful for understanding POET technologies, I'm confused why if their technology is so innovative and scalable why larger companies haven't looked into them for implementation into their own data center infrastructure. Additionally there are other larger companies and players in this space? Including Broadcom that released their Bailly 51.2T CPO, I understand that you've established its a moonshot, just confused how its even a viable investment in the first place.
The space that Poet plays in is with the biggest companies in the world and the first thing you need to show is
1)Can it work in my customized system
2) can you scale it in mass production
As the video showed, #2 is answered by their JV with Sanan and #1 is what all the fuss is going to be about
@@victorviele2862 I agree from a product standpoint that what you mentioned in terms of customization and scalability are crucial, this is not my concern overall. Poet has demonstrated that they have the ability to create a useful product and provide it at scale, and lower cost and produce results for companies who need it. My question is, why is there no noise from large data center companies about these products, where are the partnerships, and interest, and why don't the CEO and Product Manager sound more confident that they can capture significant market share, they keep saying they are in a great position, we are poised, we are getting tremendous interest and so forth, what is the strategy? The point is products and business model matter (they BOTH lead to profits), and I'm concerned with managements strategy.
The Inph acquiredby Marvell has developed 220G/channel opt-electronic chip which intergrated optical with electronic module already in the market.
