    Ooh such a great idea to trim this deck! I have it and for some reason I didn't like working with it so I'm going to trim it and see if it's any more appealing to me that way

    They look so much better trimmed and cornered. Unfortunately I'm horrible at arts and crafts..Wish I could get you to do mine..

    After seeing these cards, and went and bought the deck myself. Beautiful backs , and the pictures great as well. Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks so much for putting this video up! I am still timid about trimming decks, and your video is inspiring me. I am amazed at how much better so many decks looked trimmed. The back really does go from "just pretty" to "fabulous!".
    And the line about the Golden girls made me laugh out loud :)

      +Caresse Pulaski Yaaaaas! Golden Girls! :-) thanks for that. It does look awesome. I love this deck.

    Omg, I just bought this deck and I am in love with it. I didn't believe in decks "speaking" to people, but this one actually does. I LOVE it. I just wish it were smaller and less slippery feeling. My only complaint is the back artwork looks like an old couch. Or one of those carpet bags - only they used the gaudiest carpet they could find lol. Also, that card flip at 7:30 just blew my mind. I'll really wow clients with that. XD

      Ha!! I kind of like the back, honestly -- but as long as the backs don't have text on them, I can usually deal. :-)

    Wow - this is truly one of those cases where you can’t judge a deck by its box cover - I hate the art on the box and had absolutely no intention of buying this deck because I thought it would be the same. It is now on to way to me :D Thanks for a great video

    I am getting this deck today I thought this one would be a good deck to work with. I have the Medieval Scapini Tarot which I love some of the things in the background - like The Tower makes me smile some of the things he has in there is wonderful. I never thought I would get into pips - I guess never say never! LOL. Love this video. Now I may have to trim my deck it does look amazing!

      Yay!! Right? I really like this deck trimmed. I wound up edging it, too, with a nice copper. It looks so good. I don't have the Scapini...I should look that oneup.

    Well, you were certainly meant to have that deck 😂 I loved watching you trim the cards, my thoughts were “Oh Lordy, I can’t hold a scissors straight let alone cut straight!” and, yes the deck looked soooo much better. The example readings you gave were so clear and answered the questions you posed rather nicely. Thank you for sharing all your hints, tips and experiences. Well , I am off today to read in a shop in the next town, so fingers crossed that all goes well. Thanks again. E 🙏🙏

    It is a head or heart choice one you get money the other you get to do what you heart wants to do. Which one is best at this time. I love the way Tarot-Open Reading does this too. I love how you walk through this and adding other cards thank you Tom. I think you are doing great I understood everything you said. I am with you about not having the locked in image but I need to study numerology more to be as good as you are. I working on it! LOL

    Gosh, the backs look so great trimmed! I have wanted to change the position of the cards when I thought they would read better but for some reason I thought it wasn't proper to do that. I was happy to see your arranged the cards have them read better. Also on pips I can't seem to read them, I'm always trying to remember what the illustrated card looks like. Do you focus more on the element and number than how you would read a card with a picture on it? Great video, thank you.

    • @thefoolsjournal
      @thefoolsjournal  6 років тому

      Hi there -- those are great questions. Reading with pips is a different animal, it's true. I do think about the number and element -- but I also consider the various things I've learned over the years. But when I started reading them, I did think a lot about the pictures I remembered. That's OK, too! I wrote a book -- Tarot on Earth -- about how I've learned to read with pips. But it's not for everybody, and that's OK. We all sort of find our path as we need it. For YEARS I hated pip decks -- not I adore them. It's all a journey.

    I love this deck. I cant stand the Marseille decks that are stark white and brand new looking!!! If I get an old style deck I'd like it to look old. (Which is a big part of why those unnecessary white borders look so wrong.)
