I did all this when i had Huawei smartphone, but it worked as well on my next Samsung phone. You could start playing with regions (set to China) in every place you could find, or maybe it will work better when you use Huawei phone. I don't have Pro router, so i have no clue about the solution.
Thank you for your video! I bought a parallel import China region Huawei AX3 Quad Core and had this same problem. In the new version of the AI Life app there's no longer a "Later" option to skip logging in, but I could create an AI Life account with region set to China by registering using an e-mail address instead of a phone number. The app still asks you for a phone number to send an SMS verification, but it seems it doesn't need to be a +86 (mainland China) number. After that I could connect to my router and configure it. After I finished configuring the router, it disappeared from the AI Life app, but at least the router itself works now.
