Any bike that ignites your emotions when riding it makes sense. So does surviving on boiled potatoes for 6 months to save $ for a bike such as this hahaha.
That's exactly what I'm doing xD. I'm no sportsbike guy, but I've been saving up every cent I can avoid spending to get myself into the muscle cruiser game in spring.
If you can afford a bike like this, after only 6 moths of eating nothing but potatoes, you are a very lucky man! This bike goes for around 20.000 Euros (~25.000$). I would have to live on the streets for one and a half years,...and if I manage to eat only two potatoes a day, I could possibly afford it...
@@mementomori4972You can't bite more than you chew. The Kawa 650 Ninja costs around 6500 euros. I know it's not the same. But it's a good sports bike to start. Then you could begin you diet. 😂😂
Great roads too! Also, people forget a big factor for us riding these sport bike is psychological. We love envisioning our selves on cutting edge machinery and can appreciate the engineering and power, that's why we like checking out our shadows when we ride and why we take a second look after we park it!
Got to go for my first spin of the new year today. Went for a nice cruise and then wound it back a little on my favourite twisties in my locality. I got home absolutely exhilarated and said to myself, I Schaafted that! Great ride, stay safe buddy!
Haha, I agree with you, Schaaf. These bikes don’t really make sense for the road, but you make it look really fun on this twisty patch of pavement! It’s ridiculous that you never really needed to take it higher than 2nd gear! Great riding and video work as always, man.
I mean, I don't know what this tops out at in second gear in terms of speed, but my XR tops out at 180~ Kph in second. With the difference in gearing and power, I'd say this is a bit higher :)
Roads like these are much more fun on a bike with less than 100hp or something with bottom end power imo. Heck, I'd even prefer my ninja 400 over a supersport in these conditions. You can only realistically use 1st and 2nd gear, and you are already going stupid fast doing that.
Exactly. I only was using higher gears as well because I like the sound more when there are more gear changes. But obviously I never got the thing into its peak-performance-zone. In this case first and second indeed would be sufficient. Crazy
Let's go!!!! you finally got your hands on a 1000cc supersport again, the last time I watched you ride a litre class was the cbr1000rr, this video is so good keep up the amazing work
I'd rather ride it on the road than not at all. BTW Delciud, if you think that blurring the speedo makes sense from a legal point of view I'm afraid I have to disappoint you.

You dont have to justify yourself.. just ride, create good content and enjoy.. Liked it what a great bike.. Greets from Germany i love the S1KRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After years on different naked bikes I bought a 600cc last spring. On nakeds I'm similarly skilled as you but the 600cc showed me I still have to learn alot. The potential of a supersport is much higher than any other class but at the limit the line between losing your life and driving a perfect corner is way thinner. So I totally agree with you about risking less on a supersport. If I don't know every single millimetre of a road I'm way more careful with a supersport than with other bikes.
I find the electronics very smooth, you never feel it interfering, just the lights on the dash or later in the connected app tells you it’s doing its work.
U know companies like the Japanese Big 4 (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki), the Italian twins (Ducati, Aprilia) and the BMW put a lot of R & D on their litre bikes and being able to ride those highly engineered machines is just amazing, that's the reason they are still legal and also we grew up dreaming bikes like the Hayabusa, Blackbird, Katana and other iconic bikes so todays litre bikes will be the inspiration to our future generations.
When it comes to 4 cylinder layouts, the inline is good, but the V4 of the aprilia, well that's just god level. Nevertheless another fun video of god level riding in the twisties!
I feel like lots of time when you own a liter bike, it’s. It’s not that you are gonna use the crazy power, it’s just knowing that it’s there at a moments notice whenever you decide to crack the throttle and open it up some 😎
I saw a video from another moto youtuber claiming the new S1RR actually makes for a pretty comfortable sports tourer if you're less inclined to go for an upright touring bike. Thoughts on this bike's viability as such?
From all the current super sports it definitely is the most comfortable when it comes to ergonomics. I still wouldn't buy it for daily use. A naked bike or sports tourer is almost as fast on the road but at the same time 5-times more comfortable.
Even a ducati supersport is not comfortable at all, and that bike is defined by ducati as sport/tourer and has its own separed buy section than the panigale series. Don't kid yourself, its more comfortable for people that are used to having their hands and back destroyed after 30 minutes on hypersports. For people used to upright bikes or even slightly forward position, its still uncomfortable as hell.
And you only need 2 shifts. One to start to move and the second to move. Why bother to carry 6? The 1000rr in second gear is able to run at the same pace of my scooter c650 sport so so. 😂😂😂.
I like you driving style as on street you don't have much room to mistake and also there are other vehicles that might make mistakes, nice ride !!! 😉👍👍👍
