As much as I love this song. It feels like jon wrote it to be impossible to sing. That key change at the end is one of the hardest things to sing in all of music. Edit: okay sorry not sorry but many people are saying they can sing this song easily when it's likely they can't. The issue is that Jon sings this Entire song in his chest voice. Which is basically just the register that one speaks at. The key change note goes up to a D#5 and the male chest voice is not meant to go this high. Only high counter tenors can belt out those notes. So when people say they can sing it, they're likely singing it in their falsetto register. Which is essentially your head voice. This register does not have the power and grit that chest voice has. So if one sang this song in their falsetto they'd sound like Mikey mouse. So when y'all say you can do it easily... I hate to break it to ya but you probably can't
@@WeAreBlessedCo plus he lets the crowd sing the high bits even in the lower key. I do wonder if it has ever been sung live as per the original even in his prime.
