  • David Olusoga - in conversation with Andrew Kelly, director, Festival of Ideas - talks about his new series of 'A House Through Time' which looks at 10 Guinea Street, Bristol. In a wide-ranging conversation, David discusses the history of the house and the people who lived there; slavery and Bristol; Bristol's radical history; why cities are important to him; the future of cities; and the invaluable work of archivists and archives. 'A House Through Time' runs on BBC 2 and there is a linked book by David Olusoga and Melanie Backe-Hansen published by Picador.

I would love David to do a House Through Time in his Fathers country of Nigeria. I think it would be an interesting project.

"Bristol has always been a radical city", well how true that has been proved now. Well done Bristol.👏

This is the first I've heard of this show. Just finished 1st episode. Fascinating stuff. Slaves, pirates, satirists, abandoned babies.....and that's just the 1st episode. But where can I watch the previous series,?!

Thank you so much for talking about Know Your Place. Didn't know it existed and now obsessed with looking at all the beautiful Loxton drawings. maps.bristol.gov.uk/kyp/?edition=#
