People on my friend list that used to be legitimate pros in CS:S had no trouble getting 14k even with all the cheating, but they play a highly consistent, logical style that stresses their innate abilities (reaction time, 3-dimensional memory/IQ). I personally developed this horrible play style that tends to catch good players off guard. But when so many matches had wallers in them, every time I did my next unexpected play, I'd just get 1 tapped. It completely defeated my playstyle, putting me down in the 3-5k range. On top of that, I've also been grinding, getting my muscle memory back, my knowledge of spots back, my preaim back, etc. I legit sucked my first 20 games of premier. To know what I mean about my play style, it all comes back to formal game theory. Basically, imagine a CT and a T are dueling with the CT behind a wall. Now, imagine that, objectively speaking, the CT should not repeek due to the geometry involved, due to the T staring at the angle perfectly, due to the number of Ts holding that angle, etc. Well, the T, knowing no rational player would ever peek, pulls out a molly totally exposed if the CT actually does peek. I'm that annoying mystery factor. I follow a logic like [It is bad to peek] -> [They do not expect the peek] -> [It is now good to peek as it catches people off guard and/or with utility out.] When facing wallers with smooth aimbot, there is nothing going through their pea-sized brain. They just stare people down regardless of what they could know legitimately and then shoot as fast as possible often with an aimbot. That really shut down my entire play style. I'm back though!
