I purchased the deluxe version and there are only minor nitpicks I have with it. When connected, the bridges connecting the outer islands and the central island don't line up precisely when assembled. The airship-shaped score tokens that stack atop one another aren't realistically stable enough for stacking past two ships and they don't fit end to end on the score track. The metal large key 🗝️ to the city is a joy to hold but, as with the cardboard version, the metal small key to the city isn't key-ish in appearance at all (disc to the city?) so it's kind of puzzling. Apart from those minor things, I'm very pleased with my purchase and my associates who've played it with me had a good time duking it out on the architecture battlefield.
I agree with the private goal. Why there is only 4 of them really puzzled me. There are so many ideas of private goals that can make the game more interesting. Really can't believe they did not think about it
I agree with most of your points, except for the time. On our first play we took about 90 minutes, but that was with the teach, so in playtime we were well within the 75 min timeframe on the box....

This is a beautiful game. I backed it on kickstarter but had to back out because of an emergency. This game deserves a lot of longevity.

They did if you followed the KS. There’s not a need for more than 4 tbh. The game has plenty of depth.

Agree with all your points, adjacency hard to see for first play and some objectives not that interesting. Overall
Still fun though
