in full swing= in full throttle=in full speed to hold or bear a grudge against someone or something A thousand thanks to you for your informative and impactful videos.
Much to my amazement, I got em all right though English is not my 1st language. Your quizzes are real game changer and you are an absolute beautiful person.
You know what, Jennifer , learning English with you, no questions, it's a game changer and beneficial when I sit to watch your lessons, in split second it is obvious game changer.
I took the responsibility and the initiative to call my bosses for a frank discussion about the heavy workload of our schedule. And since joining the group, my team has had a profound impact on the company’s profitability, and it begins to gain momentum. Finally, we have come to a mutual agreement, and we hope that management board will not break the promise, and their “light workload“ decree, will have a positive influence on whole the group of companies. The Overwhelming majority of colleagues agree with me, and praised me with words like: your last initiative left a lasting impression!!!
I have to admit that you and Lisa are arguably one of the best teachers I've ever come across! I like your teaching style because you tend to focus more on spoken English rather than grammar rules🎉. I binge watch your videos, and my English keeps on improving in leaps and bounds. I can't believe that we get to learn such profound lessons for free! ❤ My duty now is to keep on repeating these lessons so that I can know them and be able to use them spontaneously and effortlessly 😊
My score is 13 out of 15. I missed 'to make a point' and 'to be on the precipice.' I had a hunch about 'chagrin' from my French vocabulary. 'Overhyped' is a well-known word. That’s right! Your lessons are a real game-changer. Thank you, Jennifer!☺
1.split second -very quickly. 2.game changer- significantly alters the course. 3.full swing - at stage whene the level of activists is at it’s highest. 4.by the book- following established rules. 5.there’s a fine line - subtle difference between two things. 6.need to pace yourself - to control your speed or effort to avoid exhaustion before finishing a task. 7,tends to hold - to maintain negative feelings toward someone for something that happened in the past.
Your lessons are a real game changer! I take great pleasure in doing these exercises. "Pace yourself" is the only one I got wrong. I wanted to ask you something regarding "on the precipice." Is this phrase a synonym of "on the verge?"
