The reason for mentioning the name Muhammad peace be upon him in the testimony, my brother, is because the Christian religion that preceded Islam deified the Prophet Jesus and made him a god. Doing 5 times prayers without first taking shahada will not be accepted and will yeald no rewards as it is the same as doing the coursework for a class which you are not a student in.
Praying 5 times a day without taking the shahada will not be accepted and will gain no rewards as the shahada is the first pillar and admittance into islam. It is like doing the coursework for a class and expecting grades but you are not even a student of the class.

You should also watch the movie Kingdom of Heaven, where under Islamic rule everything will be peaceful. Islam is a religion that has been consistent from the beginning until now, there have been no changes to the contents of the holy book, the way of praying is the same, and the procedures for worship and giving alms have never changed since the beginning.

Something to add about the conversion of Abu Sofian to Islam, the day Mecca was taken... The moment, he saw the Prophet destroying all those deities inside and around the Kaaba, he started planning to constitute an army and reconquist Mecca !!! The Prophet knew by an inspiration from God what he was trying to do, then he shouted at him in response to that : "No, Abu Sufian, noooo !!! You won't and never succed that enterprise !!!!" Abu Sufian astonished by such a revelation started to believe in islam and made the declaration of faith !!!!!

I did my umrah in Mekah at 1 am in the morning and finished at 4 haha. Mekah and Medinah city never sleeps.
