Good review John! I'm looking forward to checking out my copy when I get it tomorrow. I've heard the transfer is awesome... apparently sourced from an 8K scan of the OCN even! Very cool. BTW, I've heard Best Buy can be really sketchy when it comes to slips and ordering online. I suspect there are some bad-egg employees taking some of the slips off and selling 'em on eBay or something... assuming most customers won't notice, or if they do, won't do anything about it. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be a problem with Amazon (at least, not that I've experienced yet).
Thanks Fuzz I appreciate it! It was from an 8K from my understanding and it really looks like. The visuals are absolutely stunning. Like I was saying it’s so good it changes how it looked at the movie. This is the first time this has happened with Best Buy for me. I only have two more pre orders from them then i’ll be going full Amazon and DiobolickDVD. I’ve had only good experiences with them.
I can see it, I think he would have been great in the role. It’s tough to say someone else would be great but I can see him getting an academy also in an alternate universe.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia yea man Hackman was always great to watch in any thing he did. Crazy this film is 30 years old i almost saw it in theatre i was living that jurassic park high in 93 and my parents were like do u want to go see the Fugitive? I was like nah ill wait for the vhs. Hate i didnt catch this one on the big screen
@balkee42 You couldn’t of known how good this movie was going to be then. I still haven’t seen Jurassic Park on the big screen. I have to fix that one day lol.
So either WB or Amazon and it might even be both. MGM used to have the rights but they sold most Amazon but WB also got some of their stuff like the first 4 Rocky films.
4k is great, blu ray is great. However certain films lose their identity with extreme measures in quality. While I can't say much if anything about this 4k - not seen it. I can say a lot of 80s for example films stopped needing upgrades a long time ago, I dread the day The Terminator is crisp. Many have complained about that one looking bad for ages, but for me personally it adds to the 1984 release date. Star Trek also felt much better on DVD or further back, as small details make you lose your imagination as to "whats there" and gives you the truth that may or may not be entertaining in their own right. I tend to look at physical media as a continuation of hope for the medium but it can also disrupt the intent of the tone of feel, but streaming is exactly the same. As a matter of fact some none 4k disc films are 4k on streaming and look bad.
I agree. I do like seeing where the format can go but sometimes it ruins the memory I had of the film. If this never went to 4k I would have been fine but I was still excited to see what they could do. The Terminator on 4K has me worried too especially with Cameron having a say in it. As long as it still has that gritty look we’ll be ok. The other side is we still have the old formats so we won’t loose the previous releases.
@stuartgeorge2324 I agree, it costs to much money to upgrade every movie. If it’s a favorite movie of money i’ll blind buy it but if i’m not going to watch it often i’ll wait until a sale.

Recent reviews have been stellar, ✊ thank you
My pleasure! Overall this is a phenomenal 4k
Man the 4K looks amazing! Heard it was from a 8K scan. Hope to get this new release or digital for it!
The code will be in the giveaway. It looked incredible! Very minor flaws but overall stunning. Almost too stunning but it needs to be seen.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia agreed
I own a dvd with the fugitive on one Side of the disc and US Marshall on the other Side .
That’s awesome!! I forgot about those double sided disks.
My copy supposed to arrive today. I had no idea Hackman was considered for Gerard. How incredible would that have been?! Even tho Jones was fantastic

@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia i actually caught JP twice again recently they were showing it for the 30th in 3D. It was pretty insane in 3D.
@balkee42 I saw they were doing that but the closest theater by my showing it was about 2 hours away. I regret actually not making the trip now.
Great film !!
I agree!! one of my favourites.
Best Buy CONSTANTLY sends movies without the slipcover! I hate it!
This is the first time this happened to me on a new release. It kind of is bothering me lol.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia I feel your pain! 😆
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMediaBestBuy is closing physical media at the end of next month ⚰️
Do you know Who owns the right for the movie blown away with Tommy Lee Jones ?

I understand that and the blu ray is actually pretty good. Especially for when that scan was done. Still looks good.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia imo you carnt update everything certain films jump out at me that come up on 4 k uhd Blu-ray some don't 👍💿📺🎥
