R711 Does the Ballarat - Geelong - Melbourne Triangle

13th May 2023, Steamrail's R711 at Rowsley, Ingliston, Bostock, Warrenheip, Elaine, Batesford and Lara.

At one stage in the eighties some scheduled Vline trains went to Ballarat via North Geelong.
Glad I travelled on one when you could do that.
Not sure why they did that for the Saturday timetable. Might have been the Great Northern Limited booked train.

I recall a brief stint in the 90s when sprinters did that Ballarat via Geelong too.. good memories
