I think that was a great insight on aligning your short term actions with long term goals. I was wondering why I stay so motivated to do things because i have noticed many ppl getting unmotivated when I don’t. And I think the biggest thing is I’m always thinking about my long terms goals and they guide everything I do. Even doing a crappy school assignment I know have to do well to get that degree at the end

Thank you for the effort that you put into your content. I am now subscribed and using you as motivation to push on with a project of self development that started 3 years ago. Interestingly, I have now refocused and simplified some of my goals to allow more time to enjoy the journey. The big house has been switched out for early mortgage repayment, pension payments upped and retirement at 55. I have just completed the first sweep of my home and got rid of a couple of bin liners of rubbish and I have a sizable pile to take to the charity shop. LIFE SIMPLIFIED

Great question asked in here. So obvious and we just sometimes miss it in everyday life that every single thing, even the smallest, has an impact on our lives. It is especially easy to see when you check you finances regularly!! Thanks!

i very recently started to make actions that help me to get my visions/dreams to reality. It was like an awakening from a deep trance and suddenly i was very conscious of my surroundings. And with that i also got to know how unhappy i was with my living situation (living in a shared flat with a friend, but at first that friend didn't want to understand my situation and how unhappy i am with her in the flat). I now took action and by the end of summer 2017, my boyfriend who lives sadly 800kms away from me (different universities) is moving in with me here! It was a long and hard way to get what i actually believe is good for me, but its so worth it.

Great video! I like the idea of even thinking on an hourly basis and looking at how "micro actions" add up.

I had that same "Christmas every day" feeling from Amazon and I used to love it. After a semester I saw the stack of all the little Amazon boxes I had collapsed and stuck beneath my bed to use when I moved out of my dorm. I was shocked by the amount of boxes and that was my wake up call.

I am brand new to your site and this is the first exposure to your work. Wow, you hit the nail on the head with this video. I have already watched it twice. I have been struggling with figuring out how I want minimalism to exhibit itself in my life and that is really all about the vision I want for my life. Who knew that figuring out my vision would be so hard! What I do know is that I can get rid of the mindless "clicks" without looking back. Thanks so much. (now I am going to see what you have to say on developing a meaningful vision)

Just travel in general. I definitely need to reign in my mindless shopping and also grocery shop more wisely. I have immediate family in 4 different states and I only manage to get to one because it's only 3 hours away by car. The rest are much farther by car, and would make more sense to fly but I can never seem to come up with the money needed to travel and I need to change that badly.

Muy generation calls this concept "simple living" or voluntary simplicity. I'm glad the concept is alive and well just a different name.

  • @pmoneyish6869

Given the term "intentional" I think at it's core it simply means everything you do in your life you do with intention. That is you make a conscious decision on all your actions. This however can be anything really. It could be watching TV or social app time. Instead of just looking at your social media randomly mindlessly throughout the day be intentional about those things, which usually means block time off. I think if people said in their head or out loud what they were about to do for everything, you'd find you are less likely to sit in from of a TV for 3 hours or be on social media for 3 hours because it would sound fairly bad to say to yourself "I'm going to sit on social media for 3 hours" you'd say to yoruself, what are you doing? You could really do so much more with this time.

He's very messy, not quite a hoarder but he won't clean up and he's a total pack rat. I don't want to get rid of everything, but I really want to at least sort through everything and see what we have and he just wont.

Slow and steady, perhaps try a game like minsgame (see the video on my channel). It's hard, I know this struggle, but it can change over time.
