Hardwell has unveiled the video to his latest single ‘Echo’, the second to be taken from his debut artist album ‘United We Are’, which stormed to the #1 iTunes spot in his native Holland upon release, while also hitting #2 worldwide. Combining some massive synth hooks, powerful percussion, and the soulful vocals of Jonathan Mendelsohn, ‘Echo’ is a mainstage anthem with something of a dark side. Behind the big hooks and high energy, the lyrics and video portray a heartfelt story of lost love. Set against a beautifully shot winter landscape, the video tells the tale of a widower taking a journey through his past, with a little help from a friend. It’s a contrast that perfectly illustrates Hardwell’s natural ability to combine meaningful songwriting with dancefloor friendly production.

Every time I hear this wonderful song, I start to cry. I'm 30 years old but when the song came out my grandmother died and since then i connect my grandparents to the couple in the video and it overwhelms me and i get goosebumps. Since I was raised by my grandmother. Simply an incredible masterpiece from Hardwell. Even in 2020.

This is why I love Hardwell, he can not only do Electro House, Progressive House and Big Room, this is Trance and it's great, of course the first drop could be more better, but the second one makes the track amazing. The vocals of Jonathan Mendelsohn fits perfect with the track. Definitely the #UnitedWeAre album is a masterpiece.
