Agreed. Reeling up 60 oz. of lead in 250 feet of water to check herring for integrity after halibut bites is not fun. It's even less fun in 600 feet of water. Even less fun in 1000+ feet of water! Electric reels have made grocery fishing less of a chore on our boat and expedited prospecting new spots. Highly recommended.
I just watched a guy use an electric motor to winch up a middling fish into a powerboat using artificial lures and a fish finding sonar. This is the opposite of sportsmanship.
No artificial lures were used, they are obviously using black label herring, you can tell by the size. You can't even offend people properly! What should the world expect from a "progressive house DJ"; talk about the most useless application of time...do you even know how to play a guitar?
