Mantua: Gazzuolo's Pantheon and local cuisine | Italia Slow Tour

[ ENG ] Gazzuolo is a village nearby Mantua, here you can visit the family Pantheon of Gonzaga's dinasty, the church of St Peter. Ask for the keys at the local library. Then have lunch at ArteGusto Restaurant to taste a unique local dish: the Risotto with melon. That is some rice accompanied with a sauce made of culatello, melon and some red wine mixed together. It tastes really good, it is like a mouthful of fresh hay!
[ ITA ] Gazzuolo è un paese in provincia di Mantova dove si può visitare il Pantheon di famiglia della dinastia dei Gonzaga, nella chiesa di San Pietro. Chiedete le chiavi alla biblioteca locale! Poi fate come Patrizio Roversi e fermatevi a pranzo al ristorante ArteGusto per assaggiare una specialità locale unica: il risotto al melone! Ingredienti: culatello, melone e vino rosso… Un piatto gustoso, come una boccata di… fieno fresco!
