Advanced Wavetable Techniques with Vital
Next week Dash shows how Vital can do your finances and the washing up both at the same time !
With macros!
If it's going to do my finances, it's gotta be subtractive synthesis...
:-)))
Slew rate limits the gradient of the wave. Or in other words: The slower the slew rate the less the next sample can differ form the previous sample. This creates a kind of distortion. The slew rate is actually an effect of analogue circuits where the amplification cannot follow the input signal anymore.
Takes me about 2 hours to work through one of these tutorials.
Just watching just doesn't cut it. :)
This was probably the only Video on UA-cam Explaining the wavetable fully Thank you!
Damn.... this is actually deep stuff... never looked at wave tables like this. Subscribbled
Your videos have motivated me to start making my own sounds in addition to presets. Mind blown with this. Thank you man.
Yep! Its a great way to exercise the mind and maybe one day you get the satisfaction of creating something truly your own. Meanwhile, you should support Dash, however you can.
Mate, your tutorials have completely blown the lid off my sound design. When I now inevitably become incredibly famous, you can have some royalties from my first EP.
How do you turn a audio wav file into a wavetable so I can use the Vitals waveform editor to further fine tune ?
MAn whoever programmed all the visual elements of this VST must have been a godly mathematician
Dope
Volle Kraft Sound 🔥🕺
Your channel is exactly what I was looking for. Pure quality.
thanks as always
Hi Dash. Could you maybe make a video about wave table editing for dummies like me where you go super slow. It would make a world of difference to me, please. Thank you for all your excellent work.
4:45 audio file source could be a sample from a...sampler? 😊
And...how to automatically change the wave shaping but not randomly?
Terrific, now I better understand parameters I used to fiddle with but had little idea what they were useful for…
It is a pity that I have discovered this synth just a few weeks ago, it is like Serum, but free! I cannot do a final thought about it, because if I use a plugin more often and longer, bugs&intensive CPU usage can be a problem or saving issues. In many plugins I encounter this, especially free ones. I hope Vital will be different.
As soon as I get a few hours free, I'm all over this. Cheers DG. This vid is exactly what I've been looking for.
How do i make a bass patch that destoys small mountains for drum n bass?
Great explanation. I opened up an instance of Vital yesterday, played with a few presets. Opened a default and started playing with it( tried to see if i could use a wave file as a wave but couldn’t figure it out) and promptly closed it. Ive never had the patience for sound design when im working on a track snd have never been very good at it to begin with. Maybe ill just have to try a sound design session on its own.
Very helpfull, again.. "Resynthesize Preset to Wavetable" with FX is unbelievable, thanks you so much Matt Tytel sharing this awesome synth!
This is gonna go so well with the new Microfreak update! Which is exactly why I'm revisiting this video!
Same here! I see you also commented on OscillatorSync's excellent video, and have added more details. If you happen to come up with any more insights, please do post - i haven't had the chance yet to experiment.
very cool. thank you dash!
Is that q base? Wow been like 30 years since I have seen that. 😅
noice!
440khz leaking my vital energy hearing this thing.
Nice one. Great track you have in the makeing to!!
Love this! Nice work and thanks! Any explorations with generative ambient as you did with Phase Plant or the tool isn't made for it ! Thanks again, Martin
It can do random melodies but for true generative fixed architecture does suck a little bit
Neat! I was looking for this kind of walkthrough! Thanks a lot!
Sweet
Why does your wavetable editor look different to mine? I don't have the drop-down blend selection or the x/y grid options in the middle
Thanks!
Thanks!
Just started using Vital and this video has been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much 🤘🏻
PSYTRAAAAANCEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
This is fantastic. Thank you Dash.
Wow, that was great! Thank you for sharing, learned so much!
super cool
*Mindblown*
Thanks a lot!
This is really something I looked for~~~
that sequence has some Ozric Tentacles vibe at the end :-)
Super helpful tutorial. Thanks again for putting these together!
"This frame is no so cool"
Hey that was my favorite part!
Nice one!
Great tutorials on this channel, thanks for the hard work
love the new track you're working on!
piling up likes even before the release, legend
This is so cool! I have not been using the wavetable editor to its full potential.
This is really cooool
When are softsynths gonna stop one upping eachother because I can’t keep getting more haha
@@BrowsSmellLikeShit just start buying hardware instead :p
