Agree about not showering. The 30m rating is a confusing term in the watch world but really it means the watch can withstand splashes of water like hand washing, no more. The watch would need to be rated at 50m for showering to be safe.
After watching your Christmas video, it brought me back to wanting the watch again. A few years ago I decided on the thin love bracelet over the watch. I bought the watch in January. I wear it with my small JUC and sweet alhambra bracelet. It looks perfect!
I own the Santos Dumont and I love it very much! Cartier is excellent in watches. Regarding to shower with it, any non professional diver watch is completely trusted when it comes to seal. For that reason, I’d not shower with mine bc it can get a little bit of water inside and it would be really expensive to fix.

I have the full rose gold small Panthere with diamond bezel. I love it! I was looking for a comfortable formal watch that'll wear like a bracelet and its the perfect combo for me.

I have the small one with mix metal with diamonds. It’s a very comfortable watch and a forever piece for me. I don’t swim or shower with it because anyway I go to the gym and I don’t wear my jewelry or fine watches there. I really think it’s a very good add in a collection. I also have the Ballon Bleu that is a big bigger but still very comfortable. I love Cartier watches.

Ouch, I just got my first ever VCA piece for my Birthday in 2 weeks and I cannot wait to unbox it! Now seeing this video, I think this watch will be my first ever Cartier piece, it just looks so beautiful! So glad it's Swiss made (I'm from Switzerland), I didn't know that! (also would never buy it if it wasn't Swiss made)! Going to try it on in store, hopefully they have one in the size mini!
It's a great watch. I opted for two-tone in size medium because I like to mix my metals.
Hi Lou, not sure if I missed it in the video, but how does the sizing of your mini panthere compare to your cartier love bracelet? What size are you in the panthere? I don't have a cartier near me and I've been wanting the panthere but I can't decide on if I should get a "loose" fit or an exact size on the website.
The Cartier boutique in New Bond Street told me it was fine for showering and swimming ( probably not best to dive into water with it on because the pressure change is so rapid). When you swim with it on, the water pressure actually tightens the seal on the crown.

How has the wear and tear have been so far? I just got mine recently and started having diver scratches here and there. I can’t even wear it freely anymore because of it.

No, it doesn’t. Stainless steel is, like the name says, “stainless”. No tarnishing or rusting.

I have the small white gold with diamonds around the face. I wear it loose like a bracelet so it moves a bit. It’s my favorite but I don’t wear all the time because I wear a Apple Watch since my life is fitness 😂

Hola Lou! No suelo comentar pero esta vez con el tema del reloj, me ha llegado al corazón ya que me pasó algo parecido.¿Quizá ya lo hayas preguntado pero Rolex puede reparártelo? Si no, un relojero que haya tratado con Rolex, podría. No sé si te será de utilidad pero el año pasado decidí reparar un pequeño reloj Seiko de mi abuela, el cual no funcionaba y tenía el cristal roto, tras buscar por internet di con Alabart quienes me lo repararon y eso que el reloj era bastante antiguo. Todo el proceso (envío, presupuesto etc) lo hice online pero ellos tienen tienda física en Barcelona. Espero que sea como sea, algún día puedas lucirlo reparado ❤

Buying it in the USA saves us a lot! A Small Panthere is (for the current exchange), the equivalent of €3.820. Lucky for me I'm going to the USA for my vacation!
I'm purchasing the small Panthere when I visit NYC . I tried the Mini Panthere here in Europe and personally, I didn't like it.
It looked comical & childlike...Like a little girls version of her Mothers Panthere watch. I also could hardly see the time off it. I want a watch as well as a jewel and the mini didn't convince me of a watch use. Its toooo tiny!🧐

@@pixiet7321 Just because you "can" does not mean you should. It's an expensive piece and should be cared for. If anything showering with it on makes it dirtier with product residue. Why even risk it? Who needs to tell time in the shower? Beautiful piece either way. Do as you please :)

Depends on how far your arm is from your face 😂 but I’ve gotten used to it and I do look at the time quite easy
@@JesuisLou I’m in my 40’s and it’s very hard for me to read the time on the mini. I know if I were in my 30’s this would not be a problem. For this reason I will buy the small model. But the mini is so dainty and elegant, and of course not everyone is going to have eye issues….but something to think about! The mini looks beautiful on you, Lou!
It is definitely not the easiest or ideal, I do also have the issue that I am used to checking the time on my phone more often than I would like
