  • We discuss why it's important to rotate your body in Freestyle and how to become a more balanced swimmer. There are several drills that can help you gain efficiency while keeping your stroke rate low. Remember training at race pace all the time doesn't always benefit you. Slow it down and focus on the finer points.

Anychance of doing a video on freestyle arm recovery and what muscle groups to use for it please?

I would be happy to work on one. The recovery is more about keeping our muscles take a break and set up for our next stroke entry. Primarily in Freestyle pulls, we are using our triceps, shoulders and lateral muscles so when we recover, we are giving that particular side of our body's a chance to relax and get ready to power through the next stroke. The recovery should be taken slowly so that you can apply more power into your next stroke.
