I’m right there with you on the BrickHeadz theme, I will be investing in many of them this year. For me, 40751 Legolas & Gimli is now likely my #1 BrickHeadz set for investing this year. It hasn’t even been released yet, but we have confirmation that it will retire according to Brick Tap. I believe there’s going to be just as much demand for this set as the other 3 LOTR BrickHeadz, but much less supply with only a 7 month shelf life 🔥

I think investors need to be aware of, is that the early sets were retired quickly. Also Minecraft is popular with kids. Most sets won’t go up much. You have to factor storage, shipping cost and your local taxes. And I don’t have UA-cam channel but have been studying prices since 2016! Let’s say that a Disney and marvel type interest is developing in many sets and many will be like Friends, Lego city sets, avatar and so on. I am only seeing a common direction.
I think there are a number of BHz this year that will be worth picking up. As always thanks for doing the leg work for us couch potatoes. :)

Yeah, I've seen a couple other comments saying the same thing...if true, that changes a lot for this year. Obviously those sets will drop in potential, but probably still be decent if they retire next year. Will have to focus on other sets this year...but I'm glad we're finding out now and not in October!
@@kdxbricksanalyticsgot Ghost on Amazon for $130 but am thinking I will return it before the window closes. Try to pick it up again later in its shelf life. I think $130 will be the starting price for keeping and $110 or below for investing.
Yeah, I think $110 is a good target price for the ghost...no guarantees, but there's a good chance it hits that sometime during shelf life!

Thanks! Keep in mind Rakuten is still only 1.5% on exclusives and hard to find. Brickheadz are usually exclusive...I don't want you to be disappointed with unexpected low cash back. That has bit me a couple times in the past. Best of luck as always!
I just discovered a way around that. If you add something like a regular clone battle pack that qualifies for 20%, you’ll get the full 20% even on the exclusives . I tried it out yesterday and it worked!

Honest question for you - is there really enough data yet to determine if this theme is actually worth investing in? I may be in the minority here, but I think these BrickHeadz, all of them spanning all product lines, are very, very niche products. Frankly, most of them are pretty ugly IMO. They have no play value, they have no mini-figs and are very mediocre build experiences. They also don't fit into any type of MOC building scenes/communities and really have no solid or unique pieces. So to me I just...I don't see how these sets are worth hoarding for long periods of time. But then again, they are cheap relative to other Lego so if a retired one can be flipped for 50-75% ROI maybe that's the sweet spot? I don't know...maybe I'm crazy. But when I see these BrickHeadz I simply see a waste of space and money targeted a very niche demographic of AFOL that likes this type of cartoonish figurines. I'll leave these sets to everyone else. Would much rather grab the better builds with figs. Love your videos though. Keep it up!
Thanks a lot and great comment and questions! Honestly, when I started picking up extra sets for investing, I felt the same way. I don't want any brickheadz in my own collection...But, past performance data is really strong on most brickheadz. It seems like the theme popularity is still on the rise. Also, they are Lego exclusives, so low supply on secondary market. Brickheadz came out as Lego's answer to Funko pops (which are losing popularity, could also happen to brickheadz in near future), but Lego clearly is more popular...you open them up and get the build experience while Funko you don't even open (just something to put on a shelf without an experience). Brickheadz are great for folks who love Lego, but don't have much space. And lastly, my sons have fallen in love with them...Lego could have brickheadz fans for years if other kids like them too as they grow up!

BrickHeadz make a great investment - low price point to get in the game, and being numbered makes them highly collectible (for completionist types). Got battle of Endor super cheap last Black Friday so will hold out for the phantom menace 5-pack and see how low it will go.

I'd love to know what channels you watch. Best US ones I can find are brick dynasty, DG, brick bucks, wolf of bricks, and jakes bricks. Any other channels you use for your data?
Yeah, I've thought about sharing all that, but so far have decided not to. I'd hate to mention a channel that didn't want to get mentioned, and I'd hate to leave one out that felt like I should be watching their videos. But generally I constantly search LEGO investing and I watch as much as I can. I collect data off of the vast majority of the videos... I do not collect data if it has extremely low views, seems like the presenter is not a reputable source or sounds like it is AI generated. Maybe someday in the future I'll find a good way to share that information and some behind the scenes on my database.

Just got the phantom menace 5 pack (x2 so I could keep one for myself and invest one) and am super new to Lego investing. Just hoping for your opinion on a quick question- Do you estimate the value of retired brick heads will continue to go up even 10+ years down the road?
Nice! That's a great set!! Enjoy it. 10+ years is really hard to predict...I try to hold for 2 years or less. Funko pops and beanie babies have basically lost all their value after holding for a long time. But, Funko pops and beanie babies are no LEGO! I believe people will be building and playing with Lego for many generations to come, so the Lego pieces in each box likely will at least retain the value of the Lego pieces. (And obviously based on my UA-cam content, I think Lego will continue to grow in value for a long time, but who knows for sure.) Brickheadz are really popular right now and are still on the rise, but that definitely could level out because so much in the world can change in 10 years. Of course it also being star wars themed could be a major help...just like Lego, in my view I don't predict star wars fizzling out any time soon either. Have fun!!

I think you're too low on Eve and Wall-E. That was consistently sold our for awhile.
My "sleeper" is Maleficent and Cruella. I think you are way too low on it. They are 2 of the most famous Disney villians, each with their own live action origin movies, esch played by superstars in Angelia Jolie and Emma Stone, plus Cruella 2 possibly in 2025.

The brick fanatics retirement list (may update) has 40676 on it. Since last years battle of endor heros did retire after the short shelf life, I think phantom menace will too. Yeah, Brickset is hit or miss on retirement dates, especially this early in the year. I always just use brick fanatics... they're usually 95 to 98 % accurate!
Wall e is 2025 retirement according to bricktap, so who knows?
