Fun Fact: The German commander is played by Peter Stormare. He's a HUGE Sabaton fan and jumped at the chance to be in one of their videos. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

The first time I saw this video I had just finished watching the Hitler: Rise of Evil miniseries where Stormare played Ernst Röhm so it was a strange continuity I "enjoyed"

Thank you for reacting to Uprising, which is Warsaw Uprising which started on 1st Aug 1944 and the fighting lasted 63 days. Today all who wants to give respect STOP at 5 p.m. in Warsaw and all over Poland, with the sound of sirens - at the hour of the begining of uprising. You can watch some touchy videos on youtube.
I love Sabaton for writing this song. It is a great tribute to the fallen of the Warsaw Uprising, when there was no such from our gov or artists. Again, thanks for your great reaction :-)

Warsaw, fight! See how the Poles react to it. We have always fought for us for others and this is in our blood. Millions of us, women and children were dying, yet we continued to fight, we did not give up and we will never give up 💪🇵🇱💪

Participation of foreigners in the fights on the side of the insurgents - Several hundred foreigners joined the fight of Warsaw against the German occupier. Historian Michał Wójciuk claims that representatives of over 20 nationalities, in the number of 200-300 people, fought in the uprising. Among them were: Hungarians, Slovaks, Georgians, French, Belgians, Dutch, Greeks, British, Italians, Armenians, Russians, as well as individual representatives of other nations: Azerbaijan, Czech, Ukrainian, Romanian, Australian and Nigerian. Some of them - for example, black August Agbola O'Brown from Nigeria - lived in Warsaw before the war. Another example is the Slovaks, many of whom worked in the gas plant in Czerniaków. During the uprising, in agreement with the Home Army, they formed the 535th platoon of Slovaks, which, inter alia, took part in the attack on the Belweder Palace on August 1, 1944. The insurgent ranks also included German deserters and foreigners who had escaped from forced labor or POW camps.
Most of the 348 Jews imprisoned in the camp at ul. Gęsia ("Gęsiówka"), who were freed by Home Army soldiers in the first days of August. Among them were citizens of Greece, the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary. They took part in fortification and auxiliary works (they transported the wounded and weapons, and extinguished fires). Some also participated in combat operations. Moreover, many Jews who had been hiding in the city also took part in the uprising. This group includes, among others members of the Jewish Combat Organization who managed to survive the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, escapees from the Treblinka extermination camp. According to some sources, the number of Jews fighting in the Warsaw Uprising could reach 1000

In order to understand the crowd you have to understand what the Warsaw Uprising really was. By 1944 the Poles had a pretty good idea that, inspite of the fact that hundreds of thousands of us were fighting with the Allies, Poland was already sold to the Soviets. 1944 warsaw uprising was the last desperate cry to show we deserve freedom. Every Pole knows that the Russian army was on the other side of the river wait for every last Pole to be slaughtered, only then did they cross the river.

Just not be naive to the soviet share in that Slaughter. Not only they stood and looked on the other side of the river but also caught and tortured poles WHO where gone from the east to help Warsaw.

The Warsaw Uprising (August 1 - October 3, 1944) - armed action against the German troops occupying Warsaw, organized by the Home Army as part of the Operation "Tempest", combined with the disclosure and official activity of the highest structures of the Polish Underground State. The largest military operation of the Home Army. Its maximum range covered part of the left-bank districts of the city, a small area of the right-bank of Warsaw, as well as the Kampinos Forest, Legionowo and the vicinity of Marki. It was the largest battle fought during World War II by an underground organization against the occupying forces. During the two-month-long fighting, the losses of Polish troops amounted to approx. 16 thousand. killed and missing, 20 thousand injured and 15 thousand. taken captive. As a result of air raids, artillery fire, harsh living conditions and massacres organized by German troops, 150,000 people died. up to 200 thousand civilian inhabitants of the capital. As a result of the uprising and the systematic demolition of the city by the Germans, most of the buildings on the left bank of Warsaw were destroyed, including hundreds of priceless monuments and objects of great cultural and spiritual value.

Not blaming you or anyone but a lot has to do with mostly national pride for example during the Battle of Britain over half of the Royal Air Force was made up of Pols and some Americans who much like Ukraine didn’t like American neutrality and went to fight for Britain, another example is the complete lack of foreign history for example the battle of elalimain or the battle in Burma or Myanmar or how the allies supported the Chinese nationalists whilst the communists hid in the mountains only to backstab the nationalists as soon as the war was over despite the nationalists being out gunned and outnumbered as well as having their supplies stolen by the communists, or the fact that both sides committed war crimes such as England where the British, chose to let the Indians starve in favor of rerouting supplies towards Africa or how American and British forces carpet bombed cities such as the infamous sorpe and Möhne dam which yes helped shorten the war since most of Germanys power supplies as well as most of their ball bearing and other key infrastructure was also washed away by the two dams. And so history’s mostly circumstantial where depending on where you are born whenever dealing with history will always be faded with some sort of biases, such as the very unpopular and unimportant American Revolution where by American standards it’s a massive celebration where as in England, we had bigger problems such as our crippled and destroyed economy, as well as fighting a war against France and Spain as well as most of South America, and so key historical events such as D DAY being an American thing, where without Britain logistical experience the invasion would have mostly failed, due to the lack of the mulberry bridges (which If you are unaware were two floating bridges built in England as a means of building an artificial harbor of sorts, where they can be sunk or floated depending on the situation and allowed much lager ships to be able to unload their cargo with relative ease, since the invading army lacked any and all access to a harbor, so things like fuel, food, water and ammunition weren’t getting to sure either in the quantities or fast enough to resupply the allied soldiers who for the most parts lacked any real heavy armor or ammunition and most importantly fuel,) and again as a Brit my history classes would have been more catered towards British battles rather than again Burma or most of the Asian theater and another problem would be the Americanization of ww2 where the majority of documentaries and war films are mostly American and so we tend to see more American centered war films for the most parts
